Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Agenda Notice of Meeting and Agenda Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Thursday, August 5, 2021 – 4:00 P.M. Nacogdoches Recreation Center – Meeting Room 1112 North St., Nacogdoches, TX 75961 Please Note: A quorum of the Nacogdoches City Council may attend the above stated board meeting. 1. Call to Order. 2. Discuss and consider Ordinance No. 1872-08-21, for the purpose of establishing city park hours. 3. Discuss and consider locations for Arbor Day 2021 tree planting. 4. Provide feedback on design for basketball court mural at McCrimmon Park. 5. Discuss and determine interest in commencing a utility box art program. 6. Discuss Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful involvement. 7. Receive update on drainage project at Clint Dempsey Soccer Complex. 8. Receive report on Recreation activities. 9. Receive report on Parks activities. 10. Adjourn. The C.L. Simon Recreation Center is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available. Traditionally, each officer advances to the next position, leaving the Treasurer’s office vacant. The new officer typically alternates between Radio and TV. If this tradition continues, a TV member would be recommended as Secretary in 2016. Station members vote to fill director vacancies in their respective market categories. Associate Members Associates and station members also are asked to nominate Associates to serve on the Board. One is elected jointly by station members and Associates. The second Associate is elected by the TAB Board. Golden Mic Club Members Golden Mic Club members are asked to nominate candidates to represent them on the Board. There is one seat allotted for this class of membership. Non-Commercial Stations Non-Commercial members are asked to nominate candidates to represent them on the Board. There is one seat allotted for this class of membership. Members of the Texas Association of Broadcast Educators (TABE) select their representative to the Board at an annual meeting typically held in conjunction with the TAB Annual Convention.
