THE AMMONS LAW FIRM, HOUSTON, TX 1/2009 – 4/2009 MEDIA COORDINATOR & WEB DEVELOPER/WEBMASTER Responsible for the design and content creation/management/site maintenance of this large Houston-area personal injury law firm’s websites, mini-sites, public relations and copy writing for local and national media sources, print and online. The dynamic websites were open-source Joomla! And Drupal CMS-based, and the main homepage was classic ASP, incorporating some web 2.0 application functionality. Accomplishments:  Transferred the firm main website from a third-party agency into an in-house operation, reducing production costs, maintained a firm blog, and established a search engine optimization and social networking promotional strategy.  Produced and distributed pr news releases for print & Internet-based media outlets nationally & locally, promoting firm cases and encouraging case referrals.  Developed nine mini-sites for the firms’ specialty marketing purposes, such as airplane accidents, truck accidents, etc.

BAYOU CITY MEDIA GROUP, INC., THE WOODLANDS, TX 7/2006 – 11/2008 MANAGING CLUSTER EDITOR/CONTENT MANAGER Responsible for the editorial direction and content management of four hyper-local community newspaper/information portals, WoodlandsOnline.com, SpringToday.com, ConroeToday.com and TomballToday.com. Selected Accomplishments:  Managing cluster editor duties of four portals, assigning stories and special projects, editing, and acting as a gatekeeper to assure they met AP and legal standards.  Designed and implemented opt-in daily news update newsletters for each portal, and assisted in any interactive or graphic development needs for the cluster. I was one of the key planners to help research and develop a game plan for the company to expand into 60 additional area markets.  Assisted in many different business aspects of the organization, including 2 acting as an HR representative and assisting sales and supporting and training staff as needed.

CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO, HOUSTON, TX 2/2001 – 4/2006 HOUSTON WEB DESIGNER/CONTENT MANAGEMENT Responsible for assisting the content manager with revision of eight radio station websites including news stations KTRH, KPRC and 790 KBME under Ken Charles. I edited and was responsible for conversion of broadcast news copy and revision of news releases to print spec and AP style, as well as the day-to-day updates and revisions of various music-formatted stations including: The Buzz (KTBZ), KLOL, KHMX, KKRW, and SUNNY 99.1 (KODA.) Accomplishments:  Copy writing, news writing, editing, graphics creation and multimedia element creation, digital photography, video production and much more. HTML hard coding, JavaScript, style sheets, Flash, etc. were used to create page elements and interactive advertising elements.  Designed, wrote and distributed opt-in weekly and monthly HTML promotional newsletters that were delivered by email for all stations in the cluster, including Randy Lemmon’s Gardenline weekly newsletter. During my time with Clear Channel I published and broadcasted over 800 issues of these opt-in newsletters.  I was also additionally employed part-time as the Webmaster for the Lufkin/East Clear Channel stations: KYKS, KAFX, KTBQ and KSFA under Johnny Lathrop for the year of 2005.

QUESTIA MEDIA, INC., HOUSTON, TX 1/2000 – 7/2000 INFORMATION SPECIALIST/SOFTWARE ENGINEER I wore many hats for this Houston Internet start-up with over 200 employees that was created to develop a fee-based digital library and research service to allow students to research and write their college papers 24/7. Accomplishments:  I assisted with the development of an XML DTD, developed and designed a prototype for a company Intranet portal, and did extensive research and development projects for consideration of implementation into the new service.  I was considered a top eBook authority, and created a proposal for the consideration of implementation of additional mobile spin-off products.  I worked with many groups in the company including engineering, marketing, technical documentation, and others on many different related projects during my tenure.
