"Visitation to Colombia! Repeating the words of #StJPII during his voyage, "Be the salt of the earth! Be the light of the world, of this land of Colombia! You are a disciple of Jesus, & a promise to the world. Faith must animate your hearts & your works, full of vigor & freshness" @RectorGeneral

From November 4th to 9th, Fr. General Jacob arrived on Colombian soil for the first time, visiting the Society's missions in both Bogota and Medellin. A delegature of Poland's Christ the King Province, both cities pastorally guide one parish- Parroquia Maria Reina in the former, Parroquia La Epifania de Bello in the latter- as well as animate great works of mercy together with the laity. LOVE & SERVICE AT CASA JUAN PABLO II

“How important children are in the eyes of Jesus! We could even say that the Gospel is full of the truth about children. The whole of the Gospel could actually be read as the "Gospel of children.” ST. JOHN PAUL II Love and service are lived to the full in our Society’s Casa Hogar Juan Pablo II; a harbor of safety and sanctity for Colombia’s little ones. These houses bearing the namesake of or beloved, modern saint are part of an international organization that cares for poor, abandoned, or orphaned children. The Pallottines also run this very same work of mercy at our mission station in .

On November 6th, Fr. General Jacob prayed with God's little ones in Colombia, accompanied by Fr. Andrzej and Fr. Dominic; our Pallottine missionaries who shepherd those in hardship, so that whatever periphery they face, they may always stake themselves on noble ideals. For when rooted on God's love alone, life is forever beautiful. His abundant blessings, & St. Vincent's tender care, for His young beloveds in Bello! In His Words: Fr. General Visits Caracas

Fr. Jacob's First Stop in Venezuela Parroquia San Pablo II

Meeting Our Family: Parroquia San Juan Pablo II

On Saturday, November 9, Fr. General Jacob arrived for his first visitation to Venezuela, directly following what was another first-time visit to Colombia; visiting confreres, children, and the laity in both Bogota and Medellin. November’s visitation is connected to the Society’s Polish Province, Christ the King, which pastorally shepherds 2 parishes in Colombia and 3 in Venezuela; the Parish of St. John Paul II, St. Anthony of (Upata), and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Guarenas).

These photos are from Fr. Jacob's first evening, a celebration with the Neocatechumenal Way, as well as Sunday Masses at the parish, accompanied by Fr. Santiago Lodigo SAC. A large parish with a modern build, all who enter have stories incomprehensible to

we who live outside its borders. In his words, here's what our Fr. Jacob had to say:

“It was with certain concern and trepidation that I landed in Caracas, because m any had even discouraged me from making a visit at this difficult time. But I soon r ealized that the reality was not as bad as it was depicted outside. The hardship of people can be summarized in this simple fact: one US Dollar is equal to 27,000 Venezuelan Bolivar.

Going beyond these earthly concerns, I found very soon in each person an affectionate father, mother, brother and sister. Only a very minority of the population comes to Church, but they pray from their hearts.

There is no better theme than the one for this Sunday’s Liturgy: the unfailing trust in the power of the Resurrection; the victory of the Risen Lord over sin and death. I believe that this alone will give these people reason to smile in spite of their daily struggles.”

Though to imagine these struggles, we must envision ourselves being a cardiac surgeon making $20 a month, or parents who cannot feed their children one meal. This is the reality in which our family lives, and it must not be forgotten within the walled structures of comfort.

Hence the first thing we must do, is pray; first sent up for our brothers and sisters, and second for a transcendence in the country's political frictions. For such, it's to St. Paul VI we may turn to for divine guidance: "if we want justice, we must work for peace." He re’s a concluding message from St. John Paul II’s homily during his own Apostolic Voyage to this South American country.

“The Church of Venezuela has the certainty that the Lord "is good and upright", thus "teaches the way" to sinners. This is the way of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore the whole Church - bishops, priests, religious families, laity - wants to become a great community that catechizes and is catechized together, which educates and is educated.

It is a great mission to educate man! To show him the ways in which he can realize himself in truth and love, which are the ways of Christ. Not without reason did Chrysostom say: "There is no art superior to this. In fact, what can be ompared to the work of the one who forms a soul and shapes the intelligence and spirit of a young person? He who professes this science must proceed with more scrupulousness than any painter or writer in his work."

Together with you, I want to put this great mission in Mary's hands. "The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is near: repent and believe in the Gospel". Believe, and realize your faith in everyday life. Amen."

"In this world always look at God and then look at yourself. Doing this you will never find that God is without mercy, and you are without misery." So the words of our most holy Founder, and ever to life they came at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Tenango del Aire, Mexico. A delegature of Poland's Annunciation of the Lord Province, Pallotti's pastorally guided parish held "Cielo Abierto," or "Open Sky."

Founded in 2010, Open Sky is a "Catholic Mission of evangelization through music

and preaching" before the Blessed Sacrament. For 5 days, the community missions together before concluding with the "great Adoration;" the concert which- though it may end event- perhaps really begins one's true journey with the Risen Lord.

Much also like St. Vincent's convictions, it nourishes souls in Mercy through confession, as well as seeks to encourage "the laity, clergy, and religious to live the main vocation of which God calls us: to love Him & one another."

Surely, then, in the land sanctified by our Lady of Guadalupe, it was surely a sight ever pleasing for our beloved Founder. For as he says, "through the spirit of faith, hope and love, the purpose of all our thoughts, words, and actions is foxed on God, the source of all good and the goal of everything." THE FIRST BAPTISMS IN PALLOTTI'S NEW PARISH

And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him. Luke 2:40 And then, in Pallotti's sprit upon the emphasis that all the baptized are called to be saints, the newborns were raised in a village of faith. By his hand, the Spirit blessed the newest members of our Church, and the first of our parish; being built by the ground up through our Pallottine Father's of Poland's Christ the King Province. In daring prudence and missionary zeal, this Polish delegature continues to transcend beyond obstacles by grace and love alone!

THIRD ASIA PACIFIC CAMP FOR DISABLED YOUTHS.

“THE LORD RESERVES A SPECIAL PLACE IN HIS HEART FOR WHOEVER HAS A DISABILITY, AND SO DOES THE SUCCESSOR OF PETER” Pope Francis This morning- the 26th of October- holy Mass concluded the Third Asia Pacific Camp for Disabled Youths. Organized by the Order of Malta’s Hong Kong Association, 45 young adults with disabilities, in the accompaniment of volunteers, traversed land and sea to participate; including our own Pallottine missionary, Fr. Rémy Kurowski SAC. On the first day, there were a plethora of activities at the Hong Kong Jockey Club in Pokfulam, including outdoor swimming and archery. On the final two days, there was the Adventure Ship; a nonprofit organization which fosters self-confidence and esteem in the youth of all abilities through seafaring feats.

As informed by Fr. Rémy, next year it will be held in Australia; and in his words, “let’s pray for them.”

PALLOTTI'S NEW MISSION IN SITIMI

"As a fundamental rule you have the Gospel, that is enough." St. Vincent Pallotti And with the Gospel, may we advance evermore in sanctity and with courage, bringing Jesus' love not where it has been, but where it is next to be.

Resting between the Himalayan foothills and the Myanmar, the Society's mission-minded Epiphany of the Lord Province opened its second station in Nagaland; its first in Phuvkiu, under Fathers Manoj and Ronald, and now Sitimi, filling the palms of Fr. Sijo Chacko.

The mission itself is 34 years old, opening in 1985 under the Diocese of Kohima. There is a total of 40 families, 19 of which are under catechumenate, as well as a school of 320 student that goes up to 8th grade. With ever increasing trust in God, His courages blessings upon you, Fr. Sijo, & our new Pallottine family! SRI LANKA: MISSION POSSIBLE!

HAPPY FEAST, ST. JUDE THADDEUS!

“God will do everything, when we do everything with the conviction that we can do nothing without God.” St. Vincent Pallotti Perhaps we may call it a procession of miracles!

On Sunday, October 28 at 7:00 AM, our Sri Lankan Family celebrated the patron of their holy Church: St. Jude Thaddeus. Much like St. Jude, they preach the Gospel in the most daring circumstances; life is not easy, their cries are often in silence, but as the saint of the impossible said, “Keep yourselves in the love of God and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life." For those who have given everything for love, have it all. May St. Jude continue to shower our mission with hope, so to see that God is far more generous in giving, then we are in asking. Happy Feast!

Siberia & St. Joseph: Read Leo XIII's Encyclical on the Church's Protector For God’s greatest glory, a chosen man of resilient faith; this is St. Joseph, a hero to our Church as the divine protector of our Savior. Our Siberian brothers understand this noble truth, and blessed a small chapel in his honor.

See the photos, and read Pope Leo XII’s encyclical On Devotion to St. Joseph, written in 1889. May this cherished father, dreamer, and worker tenderly guide our great missionaries giving it all for the life of the Gospel!

Fr. Jan Wysocki SAC, & Fr. Siarhei Bildzis SAC, we are praying for you both!

QUAMQUAM PLURIES ENCYCLICAL OF POPE LEO XIII ON DEVOTION TO ST. JOSEPH

Source: www.vatican.va + Copyright: Libreria Editrice Vaticana

... During periods of stress and trial - chiefly when every lawlessness of act seems permitted to the powers of darkness - it has been the custom in the Church to plead with special fervour and perseverance to God, her author and protector, by recourse to the intercession of the saints - and chiefly of the Blessed Virgin, Mother of God - whose patronage has ever been the most efficacious. The fruit of these pious prayers and of the confidence reposed in the Divine goodness, has always, sooner or later, been made apparent. Now, Venerable Brethren, you know the times in which we live; they are scarcely less deplorable for the Christian religion than the worst days, which in time past were most full of misery to the Church. We see faith, the root of all the Christian virtues, lessening in many souls; we see charity growing cold; the young generation daily growing in depravity of morals and views; the Church of Jesus Christ attacked on every side by open force or by craft; a relentless war waged against the Sovereign Pontiff; and the very foundations of religion undermined with a boldness which waxes daily in intensity. These things are, indeed, so much a matter of notoriety that it is needless for Us to expatiate on the depths to which society has sunk in these days, or on the designs which now agitate the minds of men. In circumstances so unhappy and troublous, human remedies are insufficient, and it becomes necessary, as a sole resource, to beg for assistance from the Divine power.

2. This is the reason why We have considered it necessary to turn to the Christian people and urge them to implore, with increased zeal and constancy, the aid of Almighty God. At this proximity of the month of October, which We have already consecrated to the Virgin Mary, under the title of Our Lady of the Rosary, We earnestly exhort the faithful to perform the exercises of this month with, if possible, even more

marvellous as she has permitted Us to pray to her, for so long a time, with special appeals. But We entertain another object, which, according to your wont, Venerable Br ethren, you will advance with fervour. That God may be more favourable to Our pr ayers, and that He may come with bounty and promptitude to the aid of His Church, We judge it of deep utility for the Christian people, continually to invoke with great piety and trust, together with the Virgin-Mother of God, her chaste Spouse, the Blessed Joseph; and We regard it as most certain that this will be most pleasing to the Virgin herself. On the subject of this devotion, of which We speak publicly for the first time to-day, We know without doubt that not only is the people inclined to it, but that it is already established, and is advancing to full growth. We have seen the devotion to St. Joseph, which in past times the Roman Pontiffs have developed and gradually increased, grow into greater proportions in Our time, particularly after Pius IX., of happy memory, Our predecessor, proclaimed, yielding to the request of a large number of bishops, this holy patriarch the patron of the Catholic Church. And as, moreover, it is of high importance that the devotion to St. Joseph should engraft itself upon the daily pious practices of Catholics.

3. The special motives for which St. Joseph has been proclaimed Patron of the Church, and from which the Church looks for singular benefit from his patronage and protection, are that Joseph was the spouse of Mary and that he was reputed the Father of Jesus Christ. From these sources have sprung his dignity, his holiness, his glory. In truth, the dignity of the Mother of God is so lofty that naught created can rank above it. But as Joseph has been united to the Blessed Virgin by the ties of marriage, it may not be doubted that he approached nearer than any to the eminent dignity by which the Mother of God surpasses so nobly all created natures. For marriage is the most intimate of all unions which from its essence imparts a community of gifts between those that by it are joined together. Thus in giving Joseph the Blessed Virgin as spouse, God appointed him to be not only her life's companion, the witness of her maidenhood, the protector of her honour, but also,

by virtue of the conjugal tie, a participator in her sublime dignity. And Joseph shines among all mankind by the most august dignity, since by divine will, he was the gu ardian of the Son of God and reputed as His father among men. Hence it came ab out that the Word of God was humbly subject to Joseph, that He obeyed him, and that He rendered to him all those offices that children are bound to render to their parents. From this two-fold dignity flowed the obligation which nature lays upon the head of families, so that Joseph became the guardian, the administrator, and the legal defender of the divine house. And during the whole course of his life he fulfilled those charges and those duties. He set himself to protect with a mighty love and a daily solicitude his spouse and the Divine Infant; regularly by his work he earned what was necessary for the one and the other for nourishment and clothing; he guarded from death the Child threatened by a monarch's jealousy, and found for Him a refuge; in the miseries of the journey and in the bitternesses of exile he was ever the companion, the assistance, and the upholder of the Virgin and of Jesus. Now the divine house which Joseph ruled with the authority of a father.

... The Blessed Patriarch looks upon the multitude of Christians who make up the Church as confided specially to his trust - this limitless family spread over the earth, over which, because he is the spouse of Mary and the Father of Jesus Christ he holds, as it were, a paternal authority. It is, then, natural and worthy that as the Blessed Joseph ministered to all the needs of the family at Nazareth and girt it about with his protection, he should now cover with the cloak of his heavenly patronage and defend the Church of Jesus Christ.

4. ... men of every rank and country should fly to the trust and guard of the blessed Joseph. Fathers of families find in Joseph the best personification of paternal solicitude and vigilance; spouses a perfect example of love, of peace, and of conjugal fidelity; virgins at the same time find in him the model and protector of virginal integrity. The noble of birth will earn of Joseph how to guard their dignity even in

misfortune; the rich will understand, by his lessons, what are the goods most to be desired and won at the price of their labour. As to workmen, artisans, and persons of le sser degree, their recourse to Joseph is a special right, and his example is for their pa rticular imitation. For Joseph, of royal blood, united by marriage to the greatest and holiest of women, reputed the father of the Son of God, passed his life in labour, and won by the toil of the artisan the needful support of his family. It is, then, true that the condition of the lowly has nothing shameful in it, and the work of the labourer is not only not dishonouring, but can, if virtue be joined to it, be singularly ennobled. Joseph, content with his slight possessions, bore the trials consequent on a fortune so slender, with greatness of soul, in imitation of his Son, who having put on the form of a slave, being the Lord of life, subjected himself of his own free-will to the spoliation and loss of everything.

5. Through these considerations, the poor and those who live by the labour of their hands should be of good heart and learn to be just. If they win the right of emerging from poverty and obtaining a better rank by lawful means, reason and justice uphold them in changing the order established, in the first instance, for them by the Providence of God. But recourse to force and struggles by seditious paths to obtain such ends are madnesses which only aggravate the evil which they aim to suppress. Let the poor, then, if they would be wise, trust not to the promises of seditious men, but rather to the example and patronage of the Blessed Joseph, and to the maternal charity of the Church, which each day takes an increasing compassion on their lot.

6. This is the reason why We prescribe that during the whole month of October, at the recitation of the Rosary, a prayer to St. Joseph be added, the formula of which will be sent with this letter, and that this custom should be repeated every year. In those lands where the 19th of March - the Feast of St. Joseph - is not a Festival of Obligation, We exhort the faithful to sanctify it as far as possible by private pious practices, in honour of their heavenly patron, as though it were a day of Obligation.

7. And in token of heavenly favours, and in witness of Our good-will, We grant most lovingly in the Lord, to you, Venerable Brethren, to your clergy and to your people, the Apostolic blessing.Given from the Vatican, August 15th, 1889, the 11th year of Our Pontificate.

LEO XIII Prayer to Saint Joseph

To thee, O blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our affliction, and having implored the help of thy thrice holy Spouse, we now, with hearts filled with confidence, earnestly beg thee also to take us under thy protection. By that charity wherewith thou wert united to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and by that fatherly love with which thou didst cherish the Child Jesus, we beseech thee and we humbly pray that thou wilt look down with gracious eye upon that inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased by His blood, and wilt succor us in our need by thy power and strength.

Defend, O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, the chosen off-spring of Jesus Christ. Keep from us, O most loving Father, all blight of error and corruption. Aid us from on high, most valiant defender, in this conflict with the powers of darkness. And even as of old thou didst rescue the Child Jesus from the peril of His life, so now defend God's Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Shield us ever under thy patronage, that, following thine example and strengthened by thy help, we may live a holy life, die a happy death, and attain to everlasting bliss in Heaven.

Amen. Pallottines, We are a mission!
