Subsequently in 1974, Schindler Lift (M) Sdn Bhd was set up and took over the elevator business. Ten years later, Antah Holdings Bhd and Jardine Schindler Pacific BV entered into a joint- venture through Schindler Lifts (M) Sdn Bhd. Today the wholly owned subsidiary of that partnership, Antah Schindler Sdn Bhd, is an authorized distributor and service provider for Schindler elevators and escalators for the whole of Malaysia. Since Antah Schindler’s inception, the company has been involved in the design, supply, installation, modernization, maintenance and repair of Schindler lifts and escalators found in many buildings for both the public and private sectors. Schindler innovative mobility solutions is currently operating in hospitals, airports, government buildings, offices, condominiums, shopping malls, factories and many other areas throughout Malaysia. End user comfort and safety is Schindler's primary concern in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of its products. We carry out systematic, rigorous checks during installation, at handover of every elevator, escalator or moving walk to our customers, and throughout every piece of equipment’s long working life. Schindler ensures that all products and services worldwide conform to clearly established requirements, country-specific laws, regulations and norms. Schindler employees undergo regular safety training and are required to take wide-ranging safety precautions to minimize the risk of accidents at work. Safety is our first priority Antah Schindler has always been concerned with safety issues to the point of obsession. It is part of the Swiss tradition. Antah Schindler aims to exceed even the strictest of code requirements in its drive to support the installed equipment. There are no big secrets to lift and escalator safety and no short-cuts either. Safety for every passenger comes from well- designed and manufactured equipment, properly installed and maintained by qualified personnel. With an employee pool in excess of 1000 personnel, we are poised provide the best maintenance and care for the elevators and escalators. Feb’19 Our Quality Quality is one of the top priority for Antah Schindler Malaysia; it is also one of Schindler’s core values besides Safety, Integrity & Trust, People Development and Values for Customer. Schindler Malaysia has been certified to ISO 9001 requirements for more than 10 years. With the current certification of ISO 9001:2008 requirements, a dedicated team has been appointed to ensure effective implementation of Quality Management System nationwide where consistent internal audits are conducted at least once in a year for key operations like New Installation, Existing Installation & Modernization. Frequent internal audits are also conducted for operations with higher risk to customer satisfaction and in branches with bigger operation capacity. Throughout 2017, the QA team is currently updating its Quality Management System to certify to ISO 9001:2015 requirements. The team is now gearing towards latest certification requirements which will be held in mid of January 2018. Since the organization is also certified to ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 requirements, the top management is planning to consolidate all its management systems into integrated management systems by 2020. On top of Management Systems, Schindler has taken a step forward to strengthen its operational excellence by localizing and implementing headquarters’ QA processes into New Installation Operations. Fulfilment Plus (FF+) and Top Range Excellence (TREx) Project Management System requirements were implemented in stages beginning 2015 for both small and large projects to standardize methods, simplify processes and drive efficiency across the organization. The organization also believes that solid QA System is required to ensure quality is not compromised with the rapid growth of the business. The top management has fully supported the intention of QA team to modernized conventional methods / systems to e-systems to improve efficiency, productivity & accessibility. Optimum maintained equipment upholds the image and value of the property of our clients. For an added reassurance and peace of mind, all our products maintained by us are covered by a Public/Product Liability Insurance. We use only genuine and accredited spare parts for all elevator, escalators and moving walks maintained by us. We readily maintain stock of spare parts on our shelves, with support of our Regional Distribution Centre for immediate repair and replacement need. Additional support on equipment parts and components are also available from regional operating companies of Jardine Schindler Group in Southeast Asia.
