Roger Marks (71-82) Software and Technology Technology Entrepreneur and CEO of Aeromark who design and provide Web based software that runs some of the UK’s largest companies. Also setup and runs various other companies including a Mobile App and electronics development company in Denmark. Actively runs a graduate program that is particularly suited to Business Management graduates. Voted UK Digital Entrepreneur 2013.

William Roberts-Phelps (02-09) Family Law Solicitor working in for regional multi-service law firm Pictons LLP who have further offices in and . Specialises in family law which includes; financial disputes, child arrangements and divorce proceedings.

Matthew Dicks Music & Media Industry Read Business & Marketing at Derby. Previously Director for Ministry of Sound, CMO of tech start up Handmade Mobile and Head of Marketing for O2/Telefonica Digital. Currently working extensively with YouTube entrepreneurs and social media influencers within the music industry to develop brand opportunities through live events, music distribution, publishing and master rights ownerships and original content creation. Has a passion for supporting, mentoring and developing entrepreneurs within the media and music industry.

Dr Ian Linney Pharmaceutical Research Read Chemistry and did a PhD at Bath in organic synthesis. Spent over 20 years working in the Pharmaceutical Industry both for pharmaceutical companies and Contract Research Organizations. Currently working as a Project Leader at a large CRO outside Cambridge. Has experience in all stages of the drug discovery process.

James Fretwell (02 - 09) Teaching English as a Foreign Language Studied Modern History at Queen’s University Belfast. Worked for two years at an elementary school in Seoul, South Korea teaching English to Korean students. Studied Korean language at Yonsei University (Seoul). Appeared on the South Korean TV show ‘Abnormal Summit’ (비정상회담). Currently preparing to start a Master’s and Doctorate in North Korean History at a university in South Korea.

Chris Brodie (72-83) Civil Engineering Read Civil Engineering at the Polytechnic of Wales. Trenchless Technology Manager for OnSite Central Ltd, a division of South Staffordshire Water Plc, specialising in utility and pipe installations underground without digging up the ground. Techniques invoice directional drilling, pipe jacking, micro-tunnelling and guided auger boring.

Josh Frossell (98-08) Management Consulting Read Geography at Durham then a Masters in International Relations. Worked within the insurance industry in Singapore and Hong Kong before returning to the UK to work with an insurance organisation to set up a European office in response to Brexit. Currently working in the Insurance Consulting practice at Accenture.

Mark Rogers (88-99) Investment Banking Read Political Science and Social Policy at Birmingham. Took a gap year before serving 10 years as a Commissioned Officer in the British Army. In 2013, moved into investment banking, initially with Barclays and now with JPMorgan

Mark James (96-07) Digital Marketing/Sales Read Economics & Philosophy at Leeds. First job was in sales for a start-up subsequently acquired by Adobe. Then in Inside Sales (lead generation) before moving into Enterprise Field Sales & Media Agency/Partner Sales roles at Google. Currently working for Integral Ad Science, a US technology firm help the biggest brands in the world decrease waste across their online ads.

Robert Brown Insurance Underwriting Read Business Studies at Napier, Edinburgh. Followed a career in underwriting liability risks, including a couple of years working in Latin America. Currently Global Practice Leader for M&A Insurance at a Lloyd's Syndicate and international insurance group (Neon and Great American Insurance Group). An underwriting specialist with experience of start-up & international development of a product division.

Rebecca Wright (BHS 08-12) Marketing & Communications Read Politics at Leeds after travelling for 2 years including spending a year living and working in Australia.. Currently working for the Consultation Institute running their marketing & communications department, dealing with any person or organisation in public engagement and consultation.

Dr Laurent Garosi Veterinary Specialist in Neurology/Neurosurgery Studied veterinary medicine in Toulouse, France before moving to the UK 20 years ago to undertake a 3 year specialist training in neurology at the Royal Veterinary College in London. Currently head of neurology/neurosurgery service and one of the partners at Davies Veterinary Specialists, which is one of the largest multidisciplinary referral veterinary centre in Europe. Past President of the European college of veterinary neurology. Deal exclusively with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions travels worldwide to lecture and do surgery if required.

Robert Watson Patent and Design Attorney Read Chemistry at Oxford. Partner with Mewburn Ellis. Works in the City for a wide range of clients mainly in the pharmaceutical area, helping them protect their ideas and products. Holds a senior role in an international attorney organisation which has afforded opportunities to meet with government officials and colleagues across the world.

Henry Brown (93-01) Real Estate – Development Read Management and Engineering at Nottingham then following a ski season did a Masters in Surveying at London South Bank University. Qualified as a Chartered Surveyor (RICS) and now works for Savills as a Development Manager in the energy and infrastructure team. Previously worked for Savills in the French and Swiss Alps providing residential development consultancy and agency services.

Andrew Mabbitt Founder / Hacker Kurtis Baron Founder / Hacker Andrew and Kurtis work for Fidus Information Security and spends their days _legally_ hacking into some of the largest corporations in the world and breaking into buildings.

Henry Vann (99-04) Public Affairs / Creative Industries Read Philosophy at Cambridge, worked for the Department of Health and DODS, the UK’s leading Parliamentary consultancy. Now Head of External Affairs for the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), the UK’s professional body for musicians and has run Parliamentary events and successful campaigns to secure £300m of Government funding for music education. Vice-Chair of the Council for Subject Associations (CfSA) and Cabinet Member for Education on Borough Council. FRSA. @BedfordVann

Shanaka Rupasinghe (00-08) Business Transformation Consulting Read Medical Biochemistry at Birmingham. Worked as a Business Development Team Lead for a US Tech startup before moving industry into consultancy for Capgemini UK. Primary experience as a Management Consultant, but has also gained experience in Operational & IT consulting. Has an internal part-time role managing the Degree Apprentice community and helping with Graduate recruitment.

Paul Bennell Logistics Read Economic Geography at Swansea, followed by a Masters in Economic Development and Lean Manufacturing at Birmingham, whilst vice-chair British University Sports Federation. Joined Exel Logistics (now part of DHL) as a Graduate Trainee, working across all business units facing Automotive, Retail, Healthcare and Manufacturing customers in the UK and Europe. Since then has worked across the UK on logistics and supply chain challenges for Monsoon, BHS, HSS Hire, Brakes Bros Food Service, Co-op and currently with Samworth Brothers Supply Chain.

Kerri Whybrow Sports Therapist Read Sports Therapy at Coventry and doing a Masters at St George’s. Has experience working to help teams and athletes in a variety of sports including rugby union, rugby league, football, triathlon and long distance running with recovery and rehabilitation from injury. Currently works at Julie Dass Sports Injury Clinic and with 1XV rugby team at school.

Jawad Safdar (02-09) Marketing Since reading Management at Warwick and interning at Goldman Sachs, Jawad has accumulated a wealth of multi-channel B2C marketing experience with roles at American Express, John Lewis, Barclays, EE and (currently at) Amazon. Was awarded the Marketing Week's Masters of Marketing 'Rising Star of the Year' Award.

Oliver Yew (00-05) Sports Journalist Read Music at Nottingham before completing an MA in Print Journalism at Nottingham Trent. Worked as a freelance sports reporter for the Nottingham Post, Arsenal.com, Goal.com and the Press Association before moving to Ladbrokes as a digital content editor and writer. Now works as a Digital Sports Journalist at Sky Sports, specialising in football.

Isabel Pugh (BHS 01-12) TeachFirst Read History at Manchester after taking a gap year. Completed theTeachFirst programme and gained a PGCE from UCL alongside teaching full time. Currently teaching History at a school in North West London.

Frankie Collen Activate NCS Studied Psychology and Media at Keele University. A student liaison & engagement officers for Activate NCS who provide holiday childcare camps and are physical education specialists. Long history of sports participation, coaching and training, most recently in Australia being part of the training team that rolled out a multimillion-dollar software upgrade across the county.

Judit Sogan Investment Banking Read Law at UCL then qualified as a Barrister, specialising in company commercial and insolvency law until 1998. Moved into financial services rating structured finance transactions, and looking after portfolio of project finance & structured finance exposures across EMEA. Currently at RBS unwinding a portfolio of complex trades worth £4 billion

Pavandeep Bhogal (05-10) Aeronautical Engineering Took an apprenticeship, straight from school with BAE Systems in the military air sector, securing a job as an aerodynamicist within the Future Combat Air Systems business and working on intake design for UAVs. Completed a company funded part time degree in mechanical engineering and has very recently moved to one of the company’s London offices working in software integration for Naval ships.

Sean Goodman (02-09) Upstream Oil & Gas Read Geology at Birmingham then a Master’s in Petroleum Geoscience at Imperial. Held technical intern positions at consultancy firms as well as international oil and gas companies. Works in a Geoscience role in a New Ventures Exploration team working mainly on frontier projects in Africa

Hannah Ayres (BHS 02-12) HR. Read Politics at Nottingham Trent. Works at Santander in London within Human Resources and primarily support the retail bank on HR strategy. Currently studying for an MA in Human Resource Management part time at University of Westminster.

Anna Worboys (BHS 01-12) Surveyor – Commercial Real Estate Read History at Birmingham before working for a year in London in Financial Investor Relations. Did a Masters in Real Estate at Reading and now works at Cushman & Wakefield as a Transaction Manager within Global Occupier Services working towards getting RICS certified as a Chartered Surveyor.

Dr Kanchan Rege Medicine Read Medicine at Cambridge and UCL and completed junior doctors rotations in London. Consultant Haematologist and Medical Director of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

Sara Pearson (DAHS 05-12) Media Communications Read French and Law at Leeds and BPP Law School London respectively. Working as a ‘Media Executive’ in radio airtime sales at Global Radio, selling air time to clients to advertise their products/services. Looks after a variety of clients including music record labels and charities. Global Radio is the parent company to stations such as Capital, Capital XTRA, Heart, LBC, Radio X, Smooth, Classic and Gold. Has the fun job of ringing winners for on air competitions on our various stations!

Dr Harry Beale (98-09) Medicine & Surgery Read Medicine at Magdalen College, Oxford. Has subsequently completed two years of Foundation Training as a Junior Doctor at North Hampshire Hospital. Now about to start a Surgical Training post themed in Orthopaedics based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

Joseph Bonassera-White (07-13) Legal Recruitment Consultant Read BSc Exploration & Resource Geology (BSc) and Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) at Cardiff University. Legal Recruitment consultant for The Hydrogen Group, specialising across the Private Practice market with a focus on Corporate and Banking opportunities.

Sileshi Tesema Design Engineer BEng in Mechanical Engineering. Worked on major projects including designing radio base sites for major mobile phone operators. Designed major building infrastructures & Rail projects, includes London Underground power upgrade projects on the Metropolitan Line, Crossrail project, Network Rail projects and currently working on High Speed 2 (HS2)project which is a planned high-speed railway in the United Kingdom linking London, Birmingham, the East Midlands, Leeds and Manchester.

Giuseppe Picardi (95-03) Specialist Technology Recruitment After exploring opportunities within telesales and estate agencies has established a long-term career within Niche Technology Recruitment. Initially joined Empiric as a Trainee progressing through to Consultant and then Principal Biller. Now the Head of Strategy & Architecture Practice responsible for expanding the team and building and developing specialist markets across multiple industry sectors throughout the UK and Europe. As part of the Sales Leadership Team, defines and implements strategies to improve sales effectiveness and grow high performance teams.

Toby Nevett (12-17) Specialist Technology Recruitment Left Bedford School, where he attended as a sports scholar, in July 2017 and utilised the OB network to secure a School Leavers Apprenticeship at Empiric, rather than pursue the University path. Since starting in September has quickly progressed to the final stage of the apprenticeship programme with promotion to Consultant imminent. Working in the technology recruitment sector within the Strategy & Architecture practice, specialising in Digital Architecture across multiple industries in the UK.

Simon Briggs (77-82) Law Read law at UC L. Qualified in Manchester with Addleshaw Goddard before moving to London to join Freshfields. Qualified in New York and worked for Dewey Ballantine until 2006. Currently a partner in the Corporate & Securities Group at Dechert LLP in London specialising in Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets transactions with a particular focus on the EMEA region.

Clarissa Lawson (DAHS/BGS 09-13) Accountancy Joined Grant Thornton, a top 10 accountancy firm in 2013 as a School Leaver. Spent two years studying for the AAT before moving on to ACA recently becoming qualified. Has worked with a large spectrum of companies providing accountancy and audit services.

Jess O’Malley Accountancy Read Economics and French at Nottingham, including a year spent in France studying and working in a business translation agency. Joined Grant Thornton as a graduate trainee in the Cambridge office in 2014 and is now ACA qualified.

Ben McKeown (98-05) Wealth Management Read Economics & Politics at Oxford Brookes, now working at a wealth management firm, Hargreave Hale, looking after portfolios mainly for private clients.

Lynda Locke Brand and Retail Design Agency Management 25 years of experience in the retail merchandising and display industry, working in both the USA and the UK. Now a company executive managing a team of 15 sales people and project managers. Leads all strategic and commercial development activity for UK, Europe and global programmes. Clients range from Nike, to P&G, Hasbro, Mars-Wrigley, Coca-Cola, and Walgreens. Lynda earned a BA in Industrial Design from Montana State University.

Fiona Frossell Sales & Marketing Over 30 years in sales and marketing. Commercial Director in a freshly prepared vegetable and salads business, Freshtime. Based in Boston, Lincolnshire, Freshtime lies in the heartland of British agriculture and source locally and overseas according to the seasons, supplying major & convenience retailers, coffee shops and well-known restaurants. Has responsibility for creating profitable sales growth through a team comprising marketing, category & consumer insight, creative chefs, new product development & sales, working collaboratively with the technical, operational, packaging and procurement teams as well as customers to maximise sales.

Guy Davis (05-14) Location Planning Consultant Read Geography at Bristol, followed by travelling around the world. Works in Location planning consultancy/analytics at CACI, for a range of clients including ALDI, TGI Fridays and Aston Martin. Previously worked for a mobile app start up - FATMAP, a 3-D mapping company of backcountry ski areas. Has valuable experience of the current graduate job market.

Phil McCarthy Police 30 year’s warranted service in Police. Has worked across all of the main policing hubs in the county. Previously specialised in Firearms and Public order roles and later being part of the Force executive Support team and ended his warranted service as Acting Detective Chief Inspector in Intelligence. Now works as part of the Citizens in Policing unit recruiting Police Cadets, Special Constables, Graduate Interns and Police Service Volunteers.

Andrew Murphy (75-86) Enterprise Software Sales Read Hotel & Catering Management at Portsmouth Polytechnic. Spent many years in sales, progressing from food production, to telecommunications to Enterprise Software Sales. As Account Director, has created and developed relationships within a varied array of market sectors with firms including AON, PWC, BAE Systems, The Canary Wharf Group. Investec and various Utilities to name but a few.

Jenny Pelling Law Read English at Oxford and then converted to Law and qualified as a solicitor. She worked at a City firm and in-house at ICI in Belgium. Moved into legal education and became an executive director of CILEx Law School. Her responsibilities include the law school’s development and delivery of legal apprenticeships from paralegal programmes to solicitor apprenticeships.

Neil Guess (93-04) Human Resources Read Physical Geography at Portsmouth. Whilst at university took a summer job with Bedfordshire County Council as an Administrator in the HR department. Upon leaving university rejoined the Council on a fixed term basis as a HR Assistant. Following the Unitary changes in 2009 moved to Bedford Borough Council. Is now an Employee Relations specialist providing advice to Council managers, local schools and charities on employment matters, covering disciplinary, grievances, sickness absence, TUPE and redundancies.

Claire Paul Media (Production, Journalism, Technology) The BBC’s Director of Leadership Development & New Talent. A Journalist by trade, is passionate about developing high potential talent, leading the annual recruitment, training and retention of 400+ Apprentices and graduate trainees (across production, journalism, digital, engineering, business and legal departments) and 1,500 work placement opportunities. She works closely with government and industry policy makers to develop stronger links between industry and education. Previously Chief of Staff for BBC News and BBC Radio and Music, specialising in editorial standards, advising programme makers and journalists on the trickiest ethical dilemmas involved in programme making. Began her career as lunchtime show presenter on BBC Three Counties Radio

Karen Homan Pharmacy Studied Pharmacy at Sunderland. Worked as a hospital pharmacist, for the pharmaceutical industry, a National Pharmacy Organisation and in the USA. For the last 16 years, worked in primary care pharmacy. Can discuss how to become a pharmacist and, once qualified, the choice of pharmacy careers.

James Worboys (98-05) Finance Network Management Read Mechanical Engineering at Leeds. 7 years as a Commissioned Officer in the British Army. In 2017 joined Barclays Investment Bank as a Relationship Manager responsible for Barclays' network of CASS 7 Client Money diversification providers.

Sam Morel (99-07) Construction Read Quantity Surveying at Liverpool John Moores and Carpenter & Joinery at Moulton College. Project Manager for 800 Group Ltd, a multi-service construction consultancy, conducting site visits with contractors, compiling works packages to send to interested parties and carrying out site surveys

Rob Hicks Medicine Read Medicine at St Thomas’s Hospital, London. Consultant surgeon at Northampton General Hospital and BMI Three Shires Hospital. Skilled in Vascular Surgery, Laparoscopic, and Paediatric surgery.

Robert Berkeley (72-83) Design and Marketing Joined the Foreign Office as a Scientific Officer dealing with digital electronics research and development, particularly RF and audio signal analysis. President of Express KCS, a leading independent provider of outsourced, IT enabled graphic production and marketing support services and Chairman and founder of Linkz-IM ltd, a digital marketing company.

Tim Chapman (88-98) Licensed Trade & Sales Read Psychology at Birmingham as a mature student. Has worked in sales for two of the biggest brand owners in the world: Diageo (Guinness & Smirnoff) and Coca-Cola and has also worked more locally for Charles Wells Brewery managing a team selling brands such as Bombardier ale and Estrella lager to the licensed trade across London.

Anna Pugh Nutritional Practitioner Read English and French at Durham. Worked in publishing as a rights manager then read Nutritional Science at West London University. Works for Nuffield Health designing nutritional programmes for clients in collaboration with GPs, physiotherapists and physiologists and consulting for the Highways Agency and improving the health of clients from cement mixers to engineers…

Monica Knight Architecture Read Architecture at Dublin Institute of Technology, followed by Building Conservation at the Architectural Association, London. Member of the Technical Team for the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, architectural consultant to Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust, heritage consultant to a number of architectural practices and undertake architectural projects on my own account.

Olly Satchwill (98-09) Teaching Read Product Design in Education at Nottingham Trent. Has taught DT and currently teaches PE at Bedford School across the Upper and Prep School.

Samuel Court Engineering and Manufacturing BA from Aston University. Software Development Engineer & Lab Manager for the Operations Excellence Institute at Cranfield University. A Computer Scientist, specialising in Augmented and Virtual Reality software development with experience in mobile, web and application development.
