Dr. Hudspeth’s Team to be Honored by the Texas Counseling Association

Dr. Hudspeth and her counseling team will be recognized at the Texas Counseling Association’s conference in February 2013. They will be receiving the CREST distinction (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas) for the 2012-2013 academic year. This honor is awarded based on the strides counseling teams are taking to reach the students, parents and the greater community, as well as major accomplishments and achievements made by the school. Dr. Hudspeth is proud to report that Denton High School students have the highest SAT

COUNSELOR PROFILE and ACT scores of all high schools in the Denton Independent School District. The school’s graduation rate has also gone up  Ph.D. in Human Development Studies, Texas Woman's University by 95 percent.

Family Therapy than three decades. She believes that educators should be able

to inspire youths and help students to become lifelong learners.  Bachelor's Degree, University of North Texas In addition to serving as lead counselor at Denton High School, Dr. Hudspeth also works with NewStarts Counseling and  Member, Texas Counseling Education Services in Keller, Texas.
