Angels left fielderJustin Upton went 2-for-3 with a double, home run and three RBI. Rockies starter Jon Gray worked three innings and the Rockies got back-to-back home runs from shortstop Brenden Rodgers and second baseman Garrett Hampson. Gray worked three innings, allowing four hits and two runs, including one unearned. The back-to-back home runs for Rodgers and Hampson were part of a three-run second inning off Angels starter Matt Shoemaker, who allowed four hits and three runs over 2.1 innings. The Rockies had a 5-0 lead in the third inning. Left fielderDavid Dahl cracked an RBI single and third baseman Nolan Arenado scored on a double steal.
