Each Captain will receive a CAPTAIN’S PACKET. It will include the following (signatures from team) -photo waiver- Please have everyone on your team sign on a line or on the back of the paper. This waiver allows pictures to be taken at the tournament. If you or someone on your team does not want their picture taken, they should not sign the waiver. -eligibility information- This information includes rules and regulations on who is eligible to be playing on your team (for instance, there are rules about Varsity/NCAA athletes playing in Tennis On Campus). This information will let you know that your players are legit and allowed to play at Sectionals. -email list- Nationals is trying to get everyone’s email addresses to get more information to TOC players (ie: information about future Alumni Events). For everyone on your team that fills out their name, email address, date your graduate, etc., your team will receive goodies! Please turn these into the tournament desk. -team roster- We are providing you with a list of every team from every school’s roster. This will help you make sure that the scorecards are all filled out correctly. -pool play schedule- A schedule of who you play and when will be included. Each team will get ONE BYE throughout the pool play. The rounds will be played at 8:30am, 10:30am, and 12:30pm. Your team will play 2 matches of those 3 times. After the two pool rounds, we will start the first round of the bracket play. Home captains: Please make sure the matches are starting after a 5 MINUTE WARMUP. Each set is allowed a 5 minute warm-up. The top 2 teams from each pool will go to Gold Bracket. Bottom one/two teams will be the “lucky losers”. Discussed: The possibility of playing all pool play at Taube Stadium and South courts (across the street). One pool would need to play one court at a time. Concerns: may cause delays. Decision: We will use the WEST courts to allow for each pool to use 2 courts per match. We will not use the South courts for pool play. We will use Taube Stadium and the West courts. Check in will still happen at Taube Stadium. CLEAN UP: We are guests of Stanford Univ. Clean up after yourselves. If the nearest trashcan is full, we will get another bag. Don’t keep putting trash into full bins. Please respect the facility! PLEASE STAY THE WHOLE WEEKEND: Each team has a minimum of two matches on Sunday. YOU NEED TO MAKE A MATCH ON SUNDAY (at least ONE). Even if you are on the backside of the draw, you need to make one match, at least. Please don’t leave early! FOOD: Muffins will be provided on Saturday in the morning. Snacks are provided throughout day and we will have pizza for lunch. The pizza comes in two deliveries: one at 12:45pm and the other at 1:30pm. This is to ensure that people who are playing their matches at 12:45pm can get pizza after their match around 1:30.
