17 Straight Directors’ Cups Stanford has won 17 straight Directors’ Cups, emblematic of the top intercollegiate program in the country. Last year, Stanford captured NCAA titles in the sports of men’s gymnastics and wom- en’s water polo. STANFORD, Calif. – - Stanford ushered in the David Shaw Era DURHAM, N.C. – Quarterback Andrew Luck matched his career with a dominating 57-3 victory over visiting San Jose State before high with four touchdown passes to lead Stanford to a 44-14 win an announced crowd of 47,816 at Stanford Stadium. TUCSON, Ariz. – Stanford won its Pac-12 Conference opener to STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford kept the nation’s longest unbeaten improve to 3-0 on the season with a 37-10 victory over Arizona streak intact with a 45-19 victory over UCLA before a sellout in Tucson. Running back Stepfan Taylor rushed for a career high crowd of 50,360 at Stanford Stadium. Andrew Luck was razor 153 yards on 22 carries while Andrew Luck completed 20 of 31 sharp in completing 23 of 27 passes for 227 yards and three passes for 325 yards and two touchdowns to pace the Cardinal touchdowns, while Stepfan Taylor rushed for 112 yards on 17 to its 11th straight win overall. Jordan Williamson also added carries, including two touchdowns. Two of Luck’s touchdown three fi eld goals, including a season-long 45-yarder in the second passes went to tight end Coby Fleener, whose one-handed grab quarter that gave Stanford a 13-3 lead.
