The regional health association St. Olavs Hospital covers the region of Sør-Trøndelag. The health care facilities are mainly ­concentrated in Øya, , where an entirely new hospital is under construction; considerable health services are also ­carried out other places in the region. Besides the hospitals in Røros and , this applies to the heart clinic St. Elisabeth, Munkvoll rehabilitation center, three psychiatric hospitals (Østmarka, Brøset and Haukeåsen), three regional psychiatric centers (Orkdal, Leistad and Tiller), child psychiatric youth team, rehabilitation service for adults and a number of out-patients clinics. St. Olavs Hospital is a university hospital where research is a natural part of its undertakings. The hospital’s objectives is to motivate 75% of their medical specialists to achieve a doctoral degree within the year 2025. The child psychiatry has an own unit for professional development which is supervised by a medical specialist holding a doctoral degree. This physician is engaged at St. Olavs Hospital and the university facility NTNU-RBUP. The clinic encourages the further development of the subject area and research in close cooperation with the NTNU-RBUP.

The child psychiatry clinic is a general out-patients clinic for 10 regional districts. One comes across all types of conditions within the field of child psychiatry, such as anxiety, depression, psychosis, behavioural disorders, eating disorders etc. Most of the children are aged 7-17. A few children are under 7 years of age. Boys account for the main group of younger aged patients while the patients older than 13 are girls.

Main tasks: - Examination reports and treatment of children and teenagers with mental disorders - Guidance/ tutoring of health personnel - Clinical work - Interdisciplinary cooperation - Offer services to children and teenagers with mental disorders in the entire area

Qualifications: - Senior physician - medical specialist in child psychiatry - Strong professional engagement – self-motored and ambitious - Self-confident and the right attitude towards colleagues and patients

Other expectations: - Good communication skills - Independency, ability to build good internal as well as external relations and informal - Interested in the further development of the subject area
