Conditional tender shall not be accepted under any circumstances whatsoever. 2. Price escalation shall be payable as per formula given in this Notice Inviting Tender (hereinafter, NIT). 3. The bidders shall ensure that their tenders are in conformity with the conditions and clauses of this NIT and the contract agreement form in general and with regard to security deposit, mode of payment for extra work, if any, completion time, guarantee about mechanical and electrical equipment & water tightness, tests, structure stability, etc. for entire Civil works in particular. 4. This tender is on turnkey job basis, hence no advance payment towards the mechanical & electrical equipment will be considered and no advance mobilization will be allowed for any purpose. 5. Return of security deposit furnished by way of unconditional and irrevocable bank guarantee shall be processed only in the manner and time prescribed in this NIT. 6. The bidder / contractor shall get the gradient/ reduced levels verified on his own at his own expenditure and responsibility. The Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (hereinafter, MPJN) shall not be responsible for any variations in gradient/ reduced levels. The bidder / contractor shall include all habitations / villages inside periphery of Project Area and shall include them in the design for coverage of water supply for all population inside this periphery. 7. No payment shall be made on submission of drawing and design for civil work and general arrangement drawing for mechanical and electrical equipments. All the processes, drawings and designs shall be duly checked and verified by any Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)/ National Institute of Technology (NIT). Contractor shall start work only after due approval, of their designs and drawings, by the competent authority. 8. Bidders shall keep their offer open for acceptance for a period as prescribed in this NIT i.e. 180 days from the date of submission of bid. The validity of the bid can be extended by mutual consent in writing. 9. As a matter of abundant caution, the bidders are advised to carefully read the tender document, review the DPR in the MPJN office or through softcopy and visit the site before submitting the tender. 10. The bidder shall calculate and submit online in ‘Cover 2’ its Bid Capacity as given in Schedule – G of Pre-qualification documents. The financial bids shall be opened in the descending order according to PAC of the bids due for opening on the scheduled date. The financial offer of the bidder shall not be opened, whose bid capacity is exhausted or is lower than the probable amount of contract given in the NIT. 11. The bidders, who are not registered with centralized system of registration in Govt. of M.P. Public Works Department, will have to get themselves registered therewith, before the execution of the agreement, if their tender is accepted. In case of Joint Venture or Consortium of Firms, this condition shall be applicable to the Lead Partner only. JV shall be as per the instructions specified in Annexure 1 of this NIT. 12. The contractor shall be fully responsible and accountable to obtain all required permissions from the concerned departments/authorities and shall be fully responsible for abiding by all the laws, rules, bye laws and regulations (for the time being in force Page 4 in India) relating to water, power, extracting of minerals, royalty, blasting, transportation, safety, traffic regulations related to the work. 13. Variations in length and size/ class of pipeline and electrical line will be dealt with as follows: • Addition/ deduction in sizes and lengths of pipelines shall be made as per ISSR Volume 1 to 4 published by Urban Administrative and Development Department, Govt. of M.P. enforced from 10th May 2012 with amendments up to the date of bid submission. • The additions/ deductions in capacity and lengths of electrical power lines shall be made as per MPKVVCL SOR 2016 with amendments up to the date of bid submission. • The items of work not included in the above ISSR, shall be adjusted on the basis of proper rate analysis, supported with documents, submitted by the Contractor and approved by the Managing Director. • The decision of Managing Director in above cases shall be final. 14. Variation/ Extra work shall be finalized by the variation approval committee (VAC) formed within the MPJN. On the recommendation of variation approval committee, the variation up to 10% of total agreement cost shall be approved by Managing Director (MD), Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam and above 10% variation shall be approved by BETAC (Board Empowerd Tender Approval Committee). 15. The MPJN’s estimation for consumption of energy is specified in Annexure F. For reimbursement of energy charges calculation shall be done on pro rata basis from 1st year to end of design period. If energy consumption is more than as specified in Annexure F, then excess energy charges shall be paid by the firm. If any change in scheme components or water demand increases due to any reason & approved by MPJN, then reimbursement of payment for energy consumption excluding penalties, shall be made accordingly. 16. Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam may appoint Supervision and Quality Control Consultant and authorize the Consultant to act as representative of the Engineer-in-Charge. 17. Amendments to NIT, if any, shall be published on web site only and not in the newspapers. 18. Site Visit and examination / knowledge of works a. The bidders are advised to visit the sites of work, and assess its topographical, hydrological, geological conditions, etc. and obtain for itself on their own responsibility all information that may be necessary for preparing the bid and entering into the contract. Any costs incurred by the bidders against these investigations and site visits shall be at their own cost and department will not be liable to pay any such costs. It is also to be noted that no claims on variation of above data shall be admissible & considered for payment. b. The bidders are advised to inspect the site of construction before submitting their offer to ascertain the quantum of such works. The bidders shall be deemed to have full knowledge of all the relevant documents, proposed site of construction, soil samples or strata at site. 19. Land Acquisition/Forest Permission a. The contractor shall not be responsible for any acquisition of land, which shall be done by Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam. However, the responsibility of taking the permission to lay pipeline along the road, railway lines etc., shall be that of the Page 5 contractor.

    RESEARCH ARTICLE Exploration of Medicinal Plants Described in Ayurveda of Shajapur Forest Division, Madhya Pradesh Sanjeev K Lale1, Ravi Chandra2, Chinmay Rath3, Anupam K Mangal4, Soma N Murthy5 ABSTRACT Aims and objectives: To explore and prepare records of the pharmaceutically important medicinal plants which are described in Ayurveda, from Shajapur forest divisions of Madhya Pradesh. Materials and methods: Exploration of Shajapur forest division was carried out in December 2018. During survey, the records of medicinal plants which are described in Ayurveda have been recorded with their GPS location and area in the division. Results: The exploration records of medicinal plants described in Ayurveda, with their GPS location and potential in the field have been recorded. The important medicinal plants, for example, are: Aegle marmelos (L.) Correa, Boswellia serrata Roxb. ex Colebr., Celastrus paniculatus Willd., Helicteres isora L., Holarrhena pubescens Wall.ex G.Don, Telosma pallida (Roxb.) W.G.Craib, Tectona grandis L.f., Gymnema sylvestre (Retz.) R.Br. ex Sm., Convolvulus prostratus Forssk., Maerua arenaria Hook. f. and Thomson, Anogeissus latifolia (Roxb. Ex DC.) Wall. ex Guillem., Butea monosperma (Lam.) Taub, Annona squamosa L., etc. In Shajapur, farmers mainly cultivated Citrus reticulata Blanco (Nagrang/Santara) medicinal plant having commercial value for fruits and ayurvedic industries. Conclusion: The study area is occupied by plants of Santalum album L., Holarrhena pubescens Wall.ex G.Don, Gymnema sylvestre (Retz.) R.Br. ex Sm., Tectona grandis L.f., Carissa spinarum L., Convolvulus prostratus Forssk., and Vitex negundo L. for ayurvedic commercialization, whereas plants of Maerua arenaria Hook., Pterocarpus marsupium Roxb., etc., which are a rare habitat, so need conservation.
