Information with respect to the Sub Court, Mavelikara under section 4(1) (b) of the right to Information Act, 2005

1. Organisation functions and duties

The Sub Court/Asst.Sessions Court, Mavelikara is established to deal with both civil and criminal cases with specific jurisdiction. The Sub Court/Asst.Sessions Court, Mavelikara is presided over by the Sub Judge/Asst.Sessions Judge. The civil jurisdiction of the Sub Court, Mavelikara comes under the following villages of Mavelikara and Taluk.

The establishment of the Sub Court, Mavelikara consists of 1 sheristadar, 1 Junior Superintendent, 1 Head Clerk, 1 Bench Clerk, 9 Clerks, 1 Confidential Assistant, 2 Selection Grade Typists, 3 Typists, 1 Attender, 1 Court Keeper, 2 Office Attendants , 1 Part Time Sweeper. The functions and duties of the Sub Court, Mavelikara are primarily based on administration of justice in its jurisdiction. 2. The powers and duties of officer and employees The Sub Court/Assistant Sessions Court exercises jurisdiction of both on original side and appellate side. Original suits, OP(IP)and OP(succession) etc. having valuation above Rs. 10,00,000/­ and Appeal Suits and Sessions Cases made over from Principal District and Sessions Court, are dealt with in this Court. On judicial side, its duty 3 is to receive and dispose of the cases and matters pertaining to the administration of justice and in the administrative side, that are as prescribed in the manual of office procedure, various Rules of Practice, Service Rules etc. 3. The procedure followed in the decision making process including channels of supervision and accountability. In the judicial side, proceedings are channeled through Sheristadar → Court fees/Inward Section clerk → Bench Clerk → Judicial Officer. In the administrative side, files are channeled through clerks/Head Clerk/Junior Superintendent/ → Sheristadar → Judicial Officer. 4. The norms set for the discharge of functions The functions of the Sub Court are discharged in accordance with the various rules and regulations constituted for the purpose. Issues are dealt with on priority basis, expeditiously taking into account the various instructions from the Apex Court from time to time.

6. Categories of documents that are held or under the control  Documents and records pertaining to cases pending and disposed.  Records send by subordinate courts.  Documents and records of administrative matters. 7. Particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with or representation by the members of the public in relation to the formulation of the policy or implementation there of. There is no arrangement to solicit the views of the members of the public in relation to the formulation of policies or implementation there of. , 8. Statement of Boards, Councils, Committees and other Bodies. The following committee has been constituted by this Court. Meeting of the committee are not open to the public. Minutes will be 5 made available to the public on request subject to the provision of R.T.I Act, 2005. 1. Internal Complaint Committee for prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of woman at work place. .

The monthly remuneration is likely to change depending on the grant of increment and variation in the special allowances sanctioned by the Government. Public can directly access the Touch Screen(E Kiosk) facility or for enquiry can be made at the information counter for the information of cases. 2. Public can access search facility in the District Court Website to avail information in cases pending/disposed. 3. Information on other matters can be obtained from the public information officer as per provisions of the R.T.I Act, 2005. 4. No library is maintained for public use. 16.
