WELCOME TO LUXEMBOURG Despite the economic crisis kicking off in 2008, Europe firmly retained its position as N°1 tourism destination in the world. The EU tourism sector quickly recovered and its perfor- mance over the past years gave Europe a much needed economic boost and job creation. We are pleased to welcome tourism and innovative business models. It should also accommodate new players, absorb new skills and must develop new, attractive and professionals from all over Europe. The forum is an ideal platform for international organisations, European institutions, national personalised products in a sustainable manner for local communities and the environment. and regional political representatives as well as industry leaders to discuss the prospects and economic synergies for the sector. The programme includes various significant subjects for tourism stakeholders.
