International S.B. Stechkin’s Workshop-Conference on Function Theory dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Yu.N. Subbotin and N.I. Chernykh will take place (online and offline) from August 9 to August 19, 2021, in Uznezya village (Russia, Altai Republic, Chemalsky district).

Yeltsin (Yekaterinburg), and S. L. Sobolev Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosiborsk).

We invite you to participate in the Workshop-Conference.

The scope of the Workshop-Conference covers basic areas of modern function theory and approximation theory and includes classical topics: extremal approximation problems, extremal properties of algebraic and trigonometric polynomials and entire functions, Fourier analysis, the best approximation of operators (Stechkin’s problem), geometrical problems of approximation theory, splines, wavelets, and various applications of approximative methods.

Arrival day: August 9, 2021 (Monday) Departure day: August 19, 2021 (Thursday)

The period of the conference may change slightly, depending on the summer flight schedule of 2021.

Offline conference participants will live in an amazingly beautiful place (in a forest in the mountains on the banks of the River, 70 km from the airport of Gorno-Altaysk. It is planned to organize the delivery of participants from the Gorno-Altaysk airport to the conference site and back not only on the days of arrival and departure. By rail, you can get to the city of Biysk (170 km from the conference place) or the city of Barnaul (330 km from the place), and then by bus in the direction of the Chemal village. For preliminary booking of rooms, we ask all participants of the conference until March 22, 2021, to inform the intended form of your participation (online or offline). In the case of offline participation, please provide additional information about the desired type of accommodation, the full name of each participant, and the list of accompanying persons.
