Broncos QB gave Denver a 7‐3 lead in the first quarter with his 500th career pass—a 7 yard toss to TE Julius Thomas. Manning joins QB Brett Favre as the only players in NFL history to reach that milestone. He reached the mark in 49 fewer games and 1,381 fewer attempts than Favre. Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas set a single‐game franchise record with 226 receiving yards on eight catches (28.3 avg.) with two touchdowns against Arizona. He also reeled in an 86‐yard touchdown reception in the second quarter to represent the fourth‐longest catch in team history.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas, who caught Manning’s 500th career touchdown pass in the first quarter with his 7‐yard scoring grab, added a 12‐yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter to give him seven on the season. His seven receiving scores broke WR Wes Welker’s franchise record set last year for most touchdown catches through the Broncos’ first four games of a season.
