Player Profile: Robbie Stein This year, the DePauw Tigers will be led onto the field by senior captain, Robbie Stein. Stein will look for a successful finish to his collegiate career this season by remaining one of the Tigers’ biggest offensive threats. Hitting in the top third of the batting order, Stein has been a consistant force for the Tigers since arriving on campus his freshman year. Stein posted a .317 batting average while also contributing to the Tigers’ power numbers, providing three triples and ten doubles. His defensive skills have also improved throughout his career, adding better range, quick reactions, and a stronger arm to his overall skill set. This year, Stein will likely be moving from leftfield to centerfield in order to shore up the Tiger defense. A leader by example, the 2014 Tigers Robbie Stein will look to their centerfielder to help them improve on last year’s disappointing season, and lead them to a return trip to the NCAA  Senior tournament.
