Apache Server The standard HTTP Apache server from iAMP Server accepts compatible modules (such as the Easycom for PHP module), contains the most recent security updates, and behaves on IBMi like any Apache server running on Unix or Linux. Installation of the Apache server is optional since the PHP server from iAMP Server can also be connected to the IBM HTTP server. MySQL Server Numerous PHP Open Source applications use MySQL to store and manage their data. Installation of a MySQL database server is optional. PHP Server The PHP server can be used as an Apache module in an Apache server instance of iAMP Server, as a Fast CGI extension of the IBM HTTP server, or a CGI called from any HTTP IBM i server with a QSH command shell call. iAMP Server includes most of the standard PHP extensions, including database access, coding, debugging, and caching optimizers. iAMP Server users will also be able to develop and load their own extensions.
