THE BOROUGH OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING PLACES (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2017 (AMENDMENT NO. 23) ORDER 2021 (Order 45 of 2021) Sections 1, 32, 35, 46 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 7 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) ( and Wales) Regulations 1996 as amended.

1. gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under sections 1, 32, 35, 46 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and any other enabling powers. 2. The effect of the Order is:- (a) to combine the existing on-street parking schemes at Chalvey East into a single zone for which the addresses qualifying for parking permits would be as follows:-

Street Residential addresses to which permits Zone Code may be issued Burlington Avenue All L Chalvey Road East Odd Nos 1-59, No 61 (Flats 1-24), Even Nos L 2-48, Swan Court (Nos 1-4) College Avenue All L Hilperton Road South side for its entire length L King’s Road All L Martin Road All L Ragstone Road Odd numbers: All L Even numbers: Visitors vouchers only The Crescent All L Windsor Road Even Nos. 160-196 L (b) to replace the existing signing-only permit scheme in College Avenue, King’s Road and Martin Road with standard signing including white markings to highlight the residents’ bays. (c) to allow permit holders exclusive use of the residents’ parking bays at all times, except between 8am and 7pm on Monday to Saturday when vehicles without permits would be able to wait for up to one hour. These conditions would apply to the existing bays in Burlington Avenue, Hilperton Road, The Crescent and service road outside even Nos 160-196 Windsor Road and would also apply to the additional bays listed in paragraph (d) below.

(d) to provide additional residents’ parking bays at the following locations:- • outside Nos 9 and 32 Burlington Avenue. • on both sides of College Avenue. • on the south side of Hilperton Road alongside No 8 Burlington Avenue. • on both sides of King’s Road excluding the turning area at the northern closed end of the road. • on both sides of Martin Road. • in Ragstone Road outside odd Nos 35-47, odd Nos 53-67, No 76, odd Nos 81- 89, No 95, No 101, and odd Nos 109-133. • in Ragstone Road opposite Nos 3-27 and No 76 and opposite Nos 3 and 4 Swan Court. (e) to provide additional “No waiting at any time” restrictions at the following locations:- • at the junction of the west side of Burlington Avenue with the north side of The Crescent. • College Avenue at its junction with Ragstone Road. • at the junction of Burlington Avenue and Hilperton Road and on the south side of Hilperton Road opposite No 2. • King’s Road at its junction with Ragstone Road. • Martin Road at its junction with Ragstone Road. • all parts of Ragstone Road except where disabled persons’ parking bays exist or residents’ parking bays are proposed. • the west side of Windsor Road outside Nos 160, 162, 192, 194 and 196. (f) to withdraw the existing permit entitlement for Nos 4-24 High Street (West).

3. There would be a limit of two permits per household to all properties, but this does not include the even numbered properties on Ragstone Road. As these properties have access to off-street parking, they will not be entitled to purchase any residents permits. However, they can take advantage of all the other aspects of a residents permit scheme e.g. purchasing visitors vouchers. Current costs for residents’ permits and visitors’ vouchers are as follows:-

4. The provision of disabled persons’ parking bays within Zone L is not affected by this Order.

5. Copies of the proposed Order and this notice, plans showing the parts of the highway affected, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected free of charge at the Council’s offices during normal working hours (excluding bank and public holidays). They may also be inspected at https://www.slough.gov.uk/consultations-petitions/public-notices-orders/3 on the Council’s website.

6. Anyone wishing to object to the proposed Order may do by emailing [email protected] or writing to the address below. The objection must be made in writing, stating the grounds on which it is made, and must be sent so as to arrive no later than three weeks from the date of this Notice.
