Mar 25, 2014 19:58 CET Music from around the globe! Celebrating a year of #SundaySessions This week we head into our second year of Sunday Sessions. Creation 5 now has 53 Sunday Sessions chosen by singers, DJ’s, musicians and producers from around the globe! Every Sunday we ask someone in the music industry - a singer, songwriter, DJ, musician, producer, director – to pick their 3 favourite sounds for a smooth Sunday. We’ve also had film directors and coming soon is Editor-in-Chief of the mighty DazedMagazine, Tim Noakes. These #SundaySessions, or mini playlists, then get posted inside the Creation 5 app and shared across our social media platforms. It’s a great way for our users to listen to new music and also follow some of their favourite artists. Users can add any of the tracks to their own playlists and download the music videos for offline viewing/listening. With over 200,000 downloads on the App Store up and coming artists can also enjoy some great exposure in these sessions. We include a small amount of info about each artist with three photos and links to their social medias and website. For most of these sessions we also interview the artist - here's just a few of the people we've interviewed over the last year: • Ola - Sweden's hottest singer-songwriter with 7 Nº1 singles all of them having gone Gold or Platinum. The first single from his new album 'Carelessly Yours' has to date 17 million views on YouTube • Klingande – The French electronic music duo that rose to fame in the blink of an eye, their frist single 'Jubel' went to Nº1 in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. • Fonsi Neito - ex Grand Prix motorcycle racer turned superstar DJ and nephew of the 13-time World Champion, Angel Nieto • Paco Osuna - Spanish DJ/Producer and International Ambassador of Techno/House • AyseDeniz Gokcin - was a child prodigy in her native Turkey and has performed with countless orchestras around the world as a soloist and been invited to perform in the Kremlin. After 3 of her piano arrangements of Pink Floyd songs in the style of Franz Liszt went viral, AyseDeniz attracted the attention of the progressive rock world. • Wally Lopez - Wally is responsible for "Just a Little More Love Wally Lopez remix" - the remix that put David Guetta on the map and ended up selling hundred's of thousands of copies. • Bakermat - DJ and Producer his first EP hit Nº1 in Holland, France, Luxemburg, Belgium and Switzerland. • Ashley Slater - Singer and trombonist, probably best known for his work with Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) in the band FreakPower. • Goldfish - Dom Peters and David Poole, the ridiculously talented electro jazz duo from Cape Town. Between the 2 of them they can play the double bass, electric bass, drums, guitar, sax, flute, clarinet, keyboard, groove box and piano! • DJ Danny Avila - One of the hottest acts in the world of EDM. At the age of just 18 he's won multiple awards, confirmed residences in some of the biggest clubs in Ibiza and shared the stage with household names such as Tiësto and Fedde Le Grand. • Wallem Brothers - With Nº1 hits on iTunes their colourful and dynamic bootleg remixes have taken over the electro-house scene in Spain. Designed for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, this is an app for lovers of music and technology.
