Literary rights: not assigned to Marshall University. CONTENT AND SCOPE OF THE COLLECTION The Draper manuscripts are composed of many thousands of items in 486 volumes. They relate chiefly to the area between the Mississippi River on the west and the Hudson River and the Atlantic Ocean on the east, especially the frontier region during the period 1755-1815, and consist of original papers collected by Lyman C.
