Camau nesaf 19 2 1.CYFLWYNIAD Mae’r Cyngor yn adolygu ysgolion cynradd ac uwchradd yn ardal Amlwch. Yr ysgolion sy’n rhan o’r adolygiad hwn yw: Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones Ysgol Gynradd Amlwch Ysgol Cemaes Ysgol Gynradd Garreglefn Ysgol Gymuned Llanfechell Ysgol Penysarn Ysgol Gymuned Rhosybol Fel rhan o’i raglen moderneiddio ysgolion, mae’r Cyngor eisoes wedi adolygu ysgolion yn ardaloedd Caergybi, Talybolion, Bro Aberffraw, Bro Rhosyr, Canolbarth Môn a Seiriol. Cafwyd dwy ysgol newydd eu hagor ym mis Medi 2017 sef Ysgol Cybi yng Nghaergybi ac Ysgol Rhyd y Llan yn Llanfaethlu. Mae adborth cynnar gan ddisgyblion a rhieni’r ddwy ysgol newydd, Ysgol Cybi ac Ysgol Rhyd y Llan, yn gadarnhaol. Dyma rhai sylwadau o arolwg rhieniol diweddar: “Roedd yr ysgol flaenorol yn hen adeilad heb lawenydd gydag offer a deunyddiau dysgu oedd wedi dyddio. Mae’r ysgol hon yn ffres gydag offer a deunyddiau modern, e.e. llyfrau darllen newydd a diddorol! Mae llawer o ofod i chwarae ac i ddatblygu!” “Mae fy mhlentyn wedi setlo’n dda ac yn mwynhau’r profiadau sydd ar gael yn yr ysgol newydd. Mae’r staff yn groesawus ac mae naws braf yn yr ysgol.” Hefyd dyma sylwadau gan blant yn yr ysgolion newydd: “Llawer mwy o ffrindiau i chwarae gyda nhw yn yr ysgol newydd. Mwy o glybiau ar ôl ysgol yn yr ysgol newydd e.e. Urdd a phêl droed,” “Rwyf wedi gallu chwarae a’m ffrindiau a oedd yn arfer mynd i ysgol arall. Rydyn ni rŵan i gyd yn dod ynghyd yn yr un ysgol” “Rwy’n hoffi cyfarfod a’m ffrindiau yn gynnar yn y safle bws. Bydd hyn hefyd yn fy helpu i ddod i arfer â theithio gyda bws yn barod erbyn yr ysgol uwchradd” Bydd ysgol gynradd newydd, Ysgol Santes Dwynwen, yn agor yn Niwbwrch ym mis Mawrth 2019. Bydd y Cyngor hefyd yn gweithredu’r penderfyniadau a wnaed gan y Pwyllgor Gwaith ym mis Ebrill a Mai 2019: Adeiladu ysgol gynradd newydd yn Llangefni a chau Ysgol Bodffordd ac Ysgol Corn Hir Ail-fodelu Ysgol y Graig i gynnwys disgyblion o Ysgol Talwrn Ailwampio ac ehangu Ysgol Llandegfan, ailwampio Ysgol Llangoed a chau Ysgol Biwmares. Mae’r Cyngor wedi adnewyddu ei Strategaeth Addysg-Moderneiddio Ysgolion er mwyn adlewyrchu’r heriau sydd o’i flaen. 3 Bydd y strategaeth moderneiddio’n sicrhau bod plant a phobl ifanc yn ffynnu, yn galluogi’r pennaeth a’r athrawon i lwyddo, yn parhau i godi safonau ac yn creu adeiladau ysgol sy’n addas i’w pwrpas. Cytunodd y Pwyllgor Gwaith ar y 15 Hydref 2018 y dylai swyddogion Addysg flaenoriaethu arolygu ysgolion yn ardal Amlwch. 2. PAM ADOLYGU YSGOLION YN ARDAL AMLWCH ? Mae Adran 5 o’r ddogfen hon yn dangos y safonau addysgol, lleoedd disgyblion gweigion, gwariant fesul disgybl yn yr holl ysgolion sy’n cael eu hadolygu i’w cymharu â’r cyfartaleddau mewn dalgylchoedd ysgolion uwchradd eraill a chyfartaleddau Ynys Môn a Chymru. Bydd yr wybodaeth hon yn egluro’r angen i adolygu’r strwythur presennol a rhesymau’r Cyngor dros ddewis cynnal ei arolwg nesaf yn ardal Amlwch. 3. BETH YDYM YN EI OFYN GENNYCH ? Rydym yn gofyn i chi am ein hysbysu ynglŷn â’ch barn ar yr OPSIYNAU yn ADRAN 7 y ddogfen hon. Os dymunwch gynnig opsiynau amgen, bydd y Cyngor yn falch o’u hystyried. Sut i’n hysbysu o’ch barn ? • Modernising Schools on Anglesey – Formal Consultation in the Bro Rhosyr and Bro Aberffraw Areas
ISLE OF ANGLESEY COUNTY COUNCIL REPORT TO : Corporate Scrutiny Committee DATE: 17 September 2015 SUBJECT : Modernising Schools on Anglesey – Formal Consultation in the Bro Rhosyr and Bro Aberffraw areas PORTFOLIO HOLDER(S): Councillor Kenneth Hughes REPORT AUTHOR: Emrys Bebb Tel: E-mail: 1.0 RECOMMENDATIONS At its meeting on September 8, 2014, the Isle of Anglesey County Council Executive Committee resolved: To authorise the Officers from the Lifelong Learning Department to enable them to conduct an informal or non-statutory consultation process on the primary education provision in South Western Anglesey. To subsequently prepare several possible options on the way forward by early 2015. The Council have consulted with parents, governors and staff at the six schools in the area and also with the local communities, local councillors and with the Welsh Government and other stakeholders. The consultation period ran from November 17th 2014 until December 21st 2014. The non-statutory or informal consultation meetings were arranged with the staff, governors and parents of the 6 schools involved over this period. Consultation meetings were also held with community councils in the Bro Rhosyr and Bro Aberffraw areas. Several possible options on the way forward for the primary education provision in the Bro Rhosyr and Bro Aberffraw areas were considered in the non-statutory or informal consultation process. Two possibilities arose from the detailed analysis conducted:- Option A This would be based on Option 2, namely a new school for Bodorgan, Brynsiencyn, Newborough, Dwyran and one new school for Llangaffo and Parc Y Bont. In this context, locating one of the new schools in the Newborough area would mean that about a third of the children are able to walk to school.
