1 AN ACT concerning

2 Public Safety – Regulated – Definition

3 FOR the purpose of altering the definition of “regulated firearm” to include certain 4 ; and generally relating to regulated firearms.

5 BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments, 6 Article – Public Safety 7 Section 5–101(a) 8 Annotated Code of Maryland 9 (2018 Replacement Volume and 2019 Supplement)

15 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 16 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

18 5–101.

19 (a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

20 (r) “Regulated firearm” means:

21 (1) a ; or

4 (ii) AK–47 in all forms;

5 (iii) Algimec AGM–1 type semi–auto;

6 (iv) ANDERSON MANUFACTURING .223 CALIBER AM–15 AND 7 .300 CALIBER AM–15;

8 (V) AR 100 type semi–auto;

9 [(v)] (VI) AR 180 type semi–auto;

10 [(vi)] (VII) Argentine L.S.R. semi–auto;

11 [(vii)] (VIII) Australian Automatic Arms SAR type semi–auto;

12 [(viii)] (IX) Auto–Ordnance Thompson M1 and 1927 13 semi–automatics;

14 [(ix)] (X) Barrett light .50 cal. semi–auto;

15 [(x)] (XI) Beretta AR70 type semi–auto;

16 [(xi)] (XII) Bushmaster semi–auto ;
