Instituto Cervantes returns with an exciting program featuring special events such as the International New York Transatlantic Congress, the Historical Links Spain-USA conference or the Symposium on Children and Young Adult Literature. We will also host some of the most important cultural figures including Carlos Saura, John Ashbery, Juan Villoro and Yusef Komunyakaa. Moreover, you will find a wide variety of exhibitions, among which stand out Lluís Lleó’s or Pierre Gonnord’s solo shows and the evening dedicated to the significant work of Spanish architects in the USA, with the participation of well-known professionals in the industry. As always, we will feature an array of film festivals, musical evenings and a diverse range of workshops. For all those who wish to continue training as Spanish teachers and to promote bilingualism, we offer, of course, an extensive program of courses for all needs. The panelists will address the challenges faced by Spanish architects This exhibition is devoted to Magazzino, the new art warehouse of the when working in the United States. The understanding of the architect’s Hudson River valley, and the first New York design by Spanish architect role in each country influences the process of creation, design, and Miguel Quismondo. The architectural space is a rationalist structure of execution of an architectural project. What work does an architect do in 20,000 square feet that will be home to a number of exclusive works of Spain as opposed to the United States? How is this relationship translated into the Italian postwar art in the United States. The exhibit, which comes from the Priscilla Gac-Artigas Collection, includes

original prints by Chilean painters -three of them National Art Award LITERATURE winners; photos of the military coup d’état in 1973 taken by the Gama Agency photo-journalists; posters showing a decade of cultural events in Europe during their life in exile. A unique exhibition that showcases 10 years in Chilean History, both from an inside and outside perspective.
