The spiritual significance of this offering is to merge the mind into the source by transcending the 15 phases and emerge from the source. This offering entails worship of 108 Maha Kailasa Yantras totaling worship of 108 x 1,116 = 120,528 Siva Lingas followed by Maha Rudura Homa (chanting of Sri Rudram at least 1,452 times along with Maha Rudrabhishekam and a tenth as offering in sacred fire in 11 Homa kundas.
