NIAB TAG, ADAS and Rothamsted Research specialists and researchers will be available with impartial advice and information on all aspects of black-grass management.

Demonstrations on the guided tour, starting at 9.30am and finishing by 12.30 with lunch, include: • assessing drilling date and variety choice on black-grass populations; • the use of cover crops as a management tool; • the impact of crop competition in winter barley and wheat to reduce seed return; • inter-row spraying and hoeing; and • the benefits of spring cropping.
