Lush and subtle, “Ingénue” allowed lang and co-writer-producer Ben Mink to explore jazz, cabaret and Tin Pan Alley songwriting, resulting in some of her greatest compositions. This Landmarks Live in Concert special features an uninterrupted performance of the complete “Ingénue” album, including lang’s GRAMMY ® Award-winning hit “Constant Craving,” “Save Me,” “Wash Me Clean,” “Season of Hollow Soul” and “Miss Chatelaine.” The concert also includes the beloved Leonard Cohen song “Hallelujah” and a previously unreleased song by lang and Joe Pisapia, “Sleeping Alone.” The special also features an interview with lang by James Reed, an entertainment editor at Los Angeles Times. She has the absolute conviction that her job is political and can enlighten the human complexity. As a feminist, as an anti-racist and as a lesbian, she is working daily to give a space to the untold stories. (Photo: Juliette Robert). Beth Shipp is the first Executive Director of LPAC, the lesbian Super PAC that builds the political power of lesbian, queer, bisexual and transgender women by electing candidates who champion LGBTQ rights, women’s equality and social justice. She is a political strategist with more than 20 years of experience working for women’s reproductive rights, Democratic candidates and progressive causes. Prior to joining LPAC, Ms. Shipp was the political director for NARAL Pro- Choice and worked on a variety of federal and state campaigns throughout the nation. Carl Matthes is the current president of UGLA, Uptown Gay and Lesbian Alliance, an organization providing a support system for gay men, lesbians and education for individuals and the community He is a columnist on the Lesbian News, owned and published by his sister, Ella and her wife, Gladi. He was editor of the GLAAD/newsletter, and a GLAAD/LA representative on the Board.

Fans in cities such as Dallas, Nashville and Orlando can experience the album live, performed in its entirety. Tickets are on sale now for the tour’s kick-off concert on Friday, September 7 at 8 p.m. in the Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Especially fruity is EGOS’ return of Full Monty in September. Murder and intrigue are the order of the day with Trevor Marriott’s World’s Worst Serial Killers, and horror takes over at the end of October, with NT Live’s screening of the powerful Frankenstein starring Benedict Cumberbatch, and the cult classic Evil Dead on Halloween. As well as fruits, there are stars a plenty, with Ben Montague, Beverley Craven, Jimmy Jones, Paul Daniels, Jethro, Julia Fordham, China Crisis, The Fureys and Michael Portillo all gracing the Chequer Mead stage. There really is something for everyone in this programme and we finish off our year with the ever popular Company of Friends Panto, which this year is Aladdin.
