Ms Cusworth echoed the Minister’s comments regarding costs, noting that while lower commodity prices and the transition between construction and production were creating some challenges, this was also helping to improve competitiveness in other parts of the economy, particularly through the lower exchange rate. Mr Wood highlighted investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector, fuelled by the rapid expansion of Western Australia’s LNG production capacity.
