More details Total kilometres: from/to Saarbrücken approx. 1,200 km. The kilometre indications are "approximately kilometres according to our route planning", a deviation is not excluded.

Daily stages on the spot: about 280 - 340 km. We recommend an overnight stay for the outward and possibly also for the return journey.

Road condition: Well developed roads, in the Vosges mountains the roads are sometimes very narrow and winding. The asphalt is very coarse and "eats" the tyre tread. Little traffic on our routes and secondary roads.

Riding skills: The motorcycle should be safely controlled on winding roads. This tour is not suitable for beginners or re-starters.

Climate: Central European temperatures, sometimes cool at high altitudes.

Special features: On this trip our starting point is in the Saarbrücken area. Those who live in the immediate vicinity will get there directly in the morning. For those who live further away we recommend an overnight stay in advance. This overnight stay can be booked optionally (see travel prices). We ride as small country roads and side roads as possible during the tours. Our base hotel is located in France right at the gates of "Riquewihr" on the wine route in Alsace. It is only a few minutes' walk from the beautiful old town centre with its half- timbered houses and small wine bars and is an absolute invitation to stroll around after dinner. Free parking for motorcycles in the hotel car park. This tour is particularly recommended to connoisseurs and gourmets of Alsatian cuisine.
