On 27 June 2014 a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between MEST and KALLXO.com, on the monitoring of the State Matura Exam. Pursuant to this Memorandum of Cooperation, KALLXO.com monitored 36 testing centers in 21 municipalities: Prishtinë, Obiliq, Fushë Kosovë, Podujevë, Kaçanik, Suharekë, Ferizaj, Skenderaj, Lipjan, Mitrovicë, Gjilan, Malishevë, Istog, Deçan, Gjakovë, Prizren, Podujevë, Pejë, Kamenicë, Vushtrri and Klinë. More than 50 reports were gathered from the field,19 of which yielded articles on specific topics. The main article was updated 28 times during exam day, with at least 20 videos and tens of images depicting the situation, as viewed by KALLXO.com monitors. KALLXO.com monitor reported that in “Kadri Kusari” in Gjakovë, the exam ran late as the tests arrived only at 09:40, although they were supposed to arrive no later than 09:00. Significant delays were also noted in “Avdyl Frashëri” testing center in Prizren. This school was also used to test the knowledge of students from the Secondary musical school “Lorenc Antoni”. Tests for these students arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes late, as MEST mistakenly mixed tests prepared for this school with those meant for the professional art school. This error on MEST’s behalf created an unpleasant climate in the school, since students had to wait for over 1 hour and 20 minutes, thus also obstructing students from other schools undergoing examination in the same center. 05 INTERNEWS KOSOVA Presence of unauthorized individuals in testing centers KALLXO.com monitors noted the His removal from the center was preceded by Mr. Haxhiu’s loud expressions in the testing center, complaining about presence in testing centers of municipal MEST rules, which allegedly stressed the students. The Development of the Concept of “Public Space” in Tirana Eduina Zekaj Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, Polytechnic University of Tirana, Albania Abstract. The term “public space”, also known as urban space is a pretty old phrase, but was used as e concept with a clear definition during the modern era. The evolution of this term is well known in Tirana, because of its constant development especially in the recent projects. The first attempts started in 1914, but by that time there did not exist a real concept of the public space, which accordingly was affected by the citizens’ lifestyle. Public spaces in Tirana have changed a lot since then by recreating the concept of “public use”. There are many examples of squares, streets and parks which have gone through the process of change over the years and have affected people’s lives.

Virgil, Aeneid 11 (Pallas & Camilla) 1–224, 498–521, 532–96, 648–89, 725–835 G Latin text, study aids with vocabulary, and commentary ILDENHARD INGO GILDENHARD AND JOHN HENDERSON A dead boy (Pallas) and the death of a girl (Camilla) loom over the opening and the closing part of the eleventh book of the Aeneid. Following the savage slaughter in Aeneid 10, the AND book opens in a mournful mood as the warring parti es revisit yesterday’s killing fi elds to att end to their dead. One casualty in parti cular commands att enti on: Aeneas’ protégé H Pallas, killed and despoiled by Turnus in the previous book. His death plunges his father ENDERSON Evander and his surrogate father Aeneas into heart-rending despair – and helps set up the foundati onal act of sacrifi cial brutality that caps the poem, when Aeneas seeks to avenge Pallas by slaying Turnus in wrathful fury. Turnus’ departure from the living is prefi gured by that of his ally Camilla, a maiden schooled in the marti al arts, who sets the mold for warrior princesses such as Xena and Wonder Woman. In the fi nal third of Aeneid 11, she wreaks havoc not just on the batt lefi eld but on gender stereotypes and the conventi ons of the epic genre, before she too succumbs to a premature death. In the porti ons of the book selected for discussion here, Virgil off ers some of his most emoti ve (and disturbing) meditati ons on the tragic nature of human existence – but also knows how to lighten the mood with a bit of drag.

Today's hearing of the Commission on Secu- rity and Cooperation in Europe is called to examine the current, criti- cal situation in Kosovo. In recent days, continuing Serbian repres- sion of the Kosovar Albanian Majority Population has triggered an escalating spiral of violence that demands U.S. leadership now to stop another outbreak of ethnic cleansing and to achieve a peaceful reso- lution to the crisis. This is one of the times when all people of conscience must speak out, and we must take action to stop the slaughter of innocent men, women, and children. Our distinguished panel of witnesses includes Mr. Isa Zymberi, who is the Director of the London Office of the Kosovo Information Cen- ter.
