AHPs

• ASEAN Heritage Parks (AHPs) are selected protected areas in the ASEAN region which are known for their unique biodiversity and ecosystems, wilderness and outstanding values. • AHPs were given the highest recognition because of their importance as conservation areas • As of 2018, a total of 44 ASEAN Heritage Parks had been established, the distribution is as follows: Darussalam - 1; - 2; Indonesia - 7; Lao PDR - 1; - 3; - 7; - 9; - 2; - 4; and Viet Nam - 8.
