Joseph Goss, saw a 400-ton vessell commanded by the pirate Capt. Every alids Bridgman, sink in Providence harbor it was manned 2/3 by Scots and 1/3 by English. Concerning a vessel from Providence, allegedly bearing £20,000 in gold and silver, and feared to have been one of HM's packet boats which had fallen into the hands of buccaneers. After the Fancy sunk at the Bahamas Capt. Every tQQk lAe alias Bridgman~ went to "Dumfaneky" (i.e. Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal, N. Ireland', about 23 of the crew bought another sloop, "and the rest of the men [about 90) went for Carolina." Endorsement refers 8 to the deponent as Thomas Dann. 7 1. 89 b. /- 15. (1696 August 7).
