  • FC Shakhtar Annual Report Season 2009|10
www.shakhtar.com FC Shakhtar Annual Report season 2009|10 The season 2009/2010 turned out to be interesting and eventful. I think the fans will remember it for many years to come. WE HAVE CONSTRUCTED DONBASS ARENA – THE STADIUM IS OF A HIGH EUROPEAN STANDARD. IT MEETS THE AIMS AND AMBITIONS OF OUR CLUB. Donbass Arena was constructed for Shakhtar to play there and for the spectators to eagerly come and support their team. I think we managed to achieve this. Before the opening of Donbass Arena I had supposed that 30–35 thousand spectators were a real number for an ordinary game of the Ukrainian Championship. The first year of the stadium’s operation proved it. Shakhtar won the gold medals of 2009/2010 Ukrainian Championship. It is the fifth champion’s title of our team. This time Shakhtar starts the most prestigious European club tournament from the group stage. The Club’s management and fans are looking forward to the successful performance of our team. I’d also like to say that we are very grateful to the head coach, Mircea Lucescu, for the team he’s created. Over the last 6 years, we’ve won 4 championship titles, the UEFA Cup, and we are showing spectacular football of high European standard. Today we all believe in our team and this means for We BELIEVE in our team us a lot more than just words. with our whole HEARTS We believe in our team with our whole hearts and know, whoever our team plays against, we may expect victory.

ABSTRACTS 381 ABSTRACTS Larysa AZAROVA STRUCTURAL ORGANIZATION OF MULTICOMPONENT COMPLEX WORDS IN THE CONCEPT OF THE «GOLDEN» RATIO The article developed the main provisions of the theory of the harmonious construction of multicomponent (ternary and quaternary) complex words in the Ukrainian language based on the concept of «golden» proportions. The author proposed research methodology the harmonic construction of the multicomponent complex words by using the linguistic information approach, which is based on a combination of traditional linguistic methods and techniques of word formation, and borrowing the techniques of information technology. Also author hypothesized of their harmony at the structural level. Harmonious constructions evaluate these nominations using complex linguistic-information approach. Installed features a harmonious multi-building complex units. The criterion harmonious structural organization of the multicomponent complex words in the concept of the «golden» proportions selected indivisible part of the word which is the syllable. The author presents an overview of numerical sequences, including S- and P- Fibonacci numbers that are associated with the «golden» S- and P-proportions and can be used to assess the harmonic structure of the multicom- ponent complex words. Analysed method of assessing the harmonic structure of a multicomponent complex words based on basic component – the proportion Р (П), which is the ratio between the «long» words and major components. Systematized complex ternary and quaternary words according to the criteria of harmony in their proportions of families of P- and S- Fibonacci numbers The author issued the mechanism of building a harmonious ternary and quaternary complex words at the structural level; highlighting two principal models of multi-component words, as they have their own specifics and require a separate study at the structural level.

МАГИСТЕРСКАЯ ДИССЕРТАЦИЯ MASTER THESIS Тема: Договорные матчи в советском футболе: миф или реальность? _____________________________________________________________ Title: Cheating in Soviet Football: Myth or Reality? _____________________________________________________________ Студент/ Student: Sergey Vorontsov (Ф.И.О. студента, выполнившего работу) Научный руководитель/ Аdvisor: Ruben Enikolopov, Irina Khovanskaya, Maria Petrova and Konstantin Sonin (ученая степень, звание, место работы, Ф.И.О.) Оценка/ Grade: Подпись/ Signature: Москва 2011 Sergey Vorontsov1 Cheating in Soviet Football: Myth or Reality? Abstract Establishing unfair behavior in sports through econometric analysis of results is a quite challenging task of extracting hidden information from publicly available data only, as it can be seen from fascinating work on cheating in sumo championships by Mark Duggan and Steven Levitt (2002). In this paper, the USSR football premier league is investigated with basic hypothesis being that a football club from the capital of the Ukraine, FC Dynamo Kiev, enjoyed support from other Ukrainian teams in form of fixed matches. An ordered probit model for the outcomes (win, draw or defeat) of matches of Dynamo Kiev is estimated controlling for the strength of the teams, home/away games, and year and Ukrainian team fixed effects. The results suggest that its overperformance in successful years against Ukrainian teams is higher than against other rivals, which favors the original hypothesis. The effect becomes statistically significant when the sample is limited to the most recent part of the sample. Also, it is found that the introduction of new Politburo members could actually increase the performance of teams from their native cities. 1 The author is grateful to his advisors – Ruben Enikolopov, Irina Khovanskaya, Maria Petrova and Konstantin Sonin – for their unlimited patience, inspiring advice and valuable comments.
