The company produces plastic bottles and containers. 11 TH FPI GOLF CLASSIC TOURNAMENT It’s ninety nine (99) days to go before the 11 th Annual FPI Golf Tournament tees off on March 08, 2013 at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf Course, Tagaytay City. Over 150 senior executives from the country’s Top 1,000 Corporations are expected to play in this tournament and get the chance to compete with their fellow industrialists on the golf course. Extended operation at Port of Manila The Port of Manila (POM) will render extended working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, for the processing of Import/Export shipments in anticipation of the huge volume of shipments for the holiday season which may cause port congestion. A POM skeletal workforce will be available to conduct regular Customs business from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the following Saturdays: December 1, 8, 22 & 29, 2012. NAST – Roundtable Discussion on “Some Thoughts on the Decline of the Manufacturing Industry in the Philippines The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL) has invited the Federation of Philippine Industries to a Roundtable Discussion on “Some Thoughts on the Decline of the Manufacturing Industry in the Philippines on Monday, December 3, 2012 9:00 a.m. at Traders Hotel Manila, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. They invited Dr. Norio Usui of Asian Development Bank (ADB) to present current assessment of manufacturing industry in the Philippines and NS Raul V. Fabella to comment on this topic. For inquiries please call 837-3170 or email them at [email protected] 2 NSCB – Invitation to the First User-Producer Dialogue on Statistical Capacity Development for Inclusive Growth in the Philippines The National Statistical Coordinating Board (NSCB) in collaboration with the Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21 st Century (PARIS21) has invited the Federation of Philippine Industries to a forum entitled the First User-Producer Dialogue on Statistical Capacity Development for Inclusive Growth in the Philippines on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Ilustrado Restaurant, Intramuros, Manila. The Forum will bring together official and non-official data producers/providers in a discussion on changing landscape in statistics and how best to address the statistical demands of users for better development outcomes. The objectives of the forum are to 1) assess from user side what kind of data are needed for analysis of inclusive growth policies; 2) assess from (official and non-official) producer side what can be done given existing resources and capacities; and 3) formulate recommendations on how to improve current mechanisms for enhancing the production of statistics required for inclusive growth policies in the Philippines.
