Gurgaon-based Starex University participated in an education fair held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Titled ‘AFAIRS’, the event featured prominent Universities and Colleges ranging from Medical, Dental, Engineering Colleges, B Schools and Management Colleges, Professional and Vocational Institutions and the like. The event witnessed the gathering of over 10,000 students. The two-day fair oﬀered plethora of career options for students. Some of the prominent universities who participated in the event were Amity University, Manav Rachna University, Mody University, Sharda University, Ansal University,Bennett University, Maharishi Markandeshwar University. Among international universities, Stanford University was present. “At Starex University, our focus is to provide a balance between academics and extra-curricular activities. The University aims to provide a personalized learning environment with continuous mentoring to equip students with critical thinking and problem solving skills. Besides enjoying a strategic location, the University also boasts of state- of- the- art infrastructure,” said Dr. Ashok Diwakar, Vice Chancellor, Starex University. The University currently oﬀers plethora of courses across six prominent departments namely School of Humanities, School of Commerce and Management, School of Hotel Management, School of Life Sciences, School of Computer Science and School of Applied Science. Spread over an area of 100 acres, the university boasts of state- of the –art infrastructure such as spacious classrooms, well-equipped engineering, medical, pharmacy, environment, Computer Science, physics, chemistry, biology and multimedia rooms, a well-stocked library, centrally air-conditioned separate hostels for boys and girls and robust sports infrastructure such as basketball, Lawn Tennis courts, Table Tennis courts and athletics track. Established under the provisions of Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act 2016, the University is located on Jaipur NH-8, Gurugram.
