The Sloan Class of 2015 welcomes you to the 2016 Sloan Summit. The vision for the Summit started in 2014 to realise the potential of the strong bond that exists between Sloans. Sloans are united in a lifelong desire to learn, to understand new ideas and to share knowledge. What makes us unique is that each one of us decided that we wanted something more than the success we had already achieved and put our careers on hold to add to our skills, capabilities and networks. Today is an opportunity for the Sloan community to continue that quest with a day of insights, networking and discussion, and to contribute to building a stronger and better connected network. Today is more than a reunion. The Summit is an opportunity to create a powerful platform to continue the journey which each of us embarked upon. This is the first time Sloans from the three business schools have come together. There will be stimulating debate and new relationships will be established. This is an opportunity to develop and strengthen the Sloan brand so that it represents much more than a 12-month programme of study, and to use the Summit to create a community of leaders who learn, share knowledge, challenge and support each other. In so doing, the strength of the community will enhance the recognition and reputation of the Sloan brand, for the benefit of all of us. The theme for this year’s Summit is ‘the new norm’. With the business landscape and thinking evolving constantly, it is time to debate what this new norm might be. We are excited to have such a fantastic line-up of speakers joining us to share their insights. Enjoy the Summit!
