Basics of VoiceOver Adding Control Center Items Learn how to add elements or additional items to your Control Center on your Apple device whether an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Your Control Center gives you access to the settings and features you use most often. If you’re not familiar with how to access your Control Center, check out Hadley’s workshop on accessing the Control Center. Try out these steps!

1. With VoiceOver on, swipe to the Settings app. Tap twice with one finger—single-finger double- tap—to open the Settings app.

2. Right swipe a few times to the Control Center button.

3. Single-finger double-tap to activate your Control Center button. 4. Right swipe a few times to your Customize Controls button.

5. Single-finger double-tap the Customize Controls button.

6. Right swipe to “Add and organize additional controls for the .” Check out the actions available to you.

Tip: Actions are additional options for you. You can swipe up or down to explore the available actions.

7. Right swipe until you get a list of additional items you can add to the Control Center.

8. Right swipe to “Insert accessibility shortcut button,” and single-finger double-tap it to add your Accessibility shortcut button to the Control Center.

Practice this technique to add your favorite items to the Control Center. Now you have quick access to the settings and features you use.
