Others with the anxiety of job loss, change, homeschooling, or politics. As creative professionals, it feels as if the trauma of what’s happening is almost more personal. Most of our art is designed to be consumed in large gatherings. It's designed to bring people together. To share experience and energy. It's our identity. And 2020 feels like it's taken that away from us. Add that to all the other life challenges right now, and it's simply overwhelming. Ben Andrews When it comes to this pandemic speci cally, our doctors, nurses, and medical Founder | Seattle Film Summit professionals are the FRONT LINE. They are working tirelessly for all of us and, hopefully, a vaccine will come soon. And then some level of normalcy will return. And when it does, I believe creatives will become a front line of our own. We'll be allowed to share our art together again. We'll be able to share experiences without fear. And when that time comes, it will be our job to re-ignite the morale of a culture. To bring joy and ease back to this world. To that I say, prepare for this battle. Give yourself grace but move your voice forward. Re ne your craft. It's happening already. The work is picking up. Creatives are in high demand again. Not just for their art but for their innovation. When we look back, we must view 2020 as the year that took our voice to the next level. Not the year that crushed us.

E. BRIAN DOBBINS Executive Producer | BLACK- ISH
For the past 19 years, E. Brian Dobbins has been a Talent and Literary Manager at Artists First.
A native of Long Beach, California, Dobbins graduated from UCLA with a degree in English. Dobbins began his career at United Talent Agency and subsequently left to work in development at HBO Pictures. His experiences at UTA and HBO lead him to realize the vital nature of managers and decided to pursue a career in talent and literary management. Dobbins left HBO and joined Interact Management where he utilized his knowledge of development in order to build a client list consisting of young and exciting writers and directors. Eighteen months later, Dobbins added actors to his list of clients and moved to Polestar Management. A year-and-a-half later, he joined Artists First, where he was recently named Co-President of the company.
At Artists First, Dobbins has expanded his management career to also include producing. His producing credits include Fox’s TV series “Do Not Disturb,” the Oxygen cable network series “Campus Ladies,” ABC and 20th Century Fox’s TV pilot “Adopted,” and the lm THE SEA OF TREES starring Matthew McConaughey and directed by Gus Van Sant, which premiered at Cannes. Dobbins currently serves as an Executive Producer on the critically-acclaimed ABC series BLACK-ISH, created by client Kenya Barris that also stars clients Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson. Most recently, BLACK-ISH took home ve awards at the NAACP Image Awards. In addition, BLACK-ISH and clients Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross were each nominated for Golden Globes over the past two years; Tracee Ellis Ross won the Golden Globe in 2017 for her performance on the show. Dobbins is also an executive producer of the BLACK- ISH spino s GROWN-ISH on Freeform and MIXED-ISH on ABC.

FELECIA D. HENDERSON Creator of Showtime’s Emmy Award Noimated Series | SOUL FOOD
Felicia D. Henderson is the creator of Showtime’s Emmy Award nominated series “Soul Food”, television’s rst multi-season, successful drama to feature an African American cast. In 2018, through her production company WaterWalk Entertain- ment, Inc., she signed a development deal with 20th Century Fox to write, produce and direct television dramas and comedies. She recently completed consulting producer duties on “Next”, an FBI cyber-crime drama premiering on Fox. Currently, she is the showrunner on Net ix’s rst season of “First Kill” and is developing a series for MGM and 20th TV.
Felicia co-created and executive produced “The Quad”, a one-hour drama for BET Networks which starred Tony Award-winners Anika Noni Rose and Ruben Santiago-Hudson. The series was named one of the “Top 15 Shows to Watch” by The New York Times in 2017. She also co- executive produced the Net ix adapta- tion of Marvel’s “The Punisher”, which debuted in Fall 2017. The successful writer-director-producer also executive produced “Single Ladies” and “Reed Between the Lines” for BET Networks. She has written and co-executive produced such high- pro le shows as “Gossip Girl”, “Fringe” and “Everybody Hates Chris”. Additional credits include, “Sister Sister”, “Moesha”, “Family Matters”, and “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”.
Continually in pursuit of knowledge, after earning B.A. and M.F.A. degrees from UCLA, she recently earned a Ph.D. in Cinema and Media Studies there. Her research interests include culture, class, race, and gender issues in television writers’ rooms, political economics of the 2007 WGA strike, and the “othering” of single women in the media. She has been published in some of the most prestigious academic journals in her eld.
