University Car Parking

University Car Parking (& associated costs!) . Provide c.3,700 car park spaces

. Each space costs £158 (72p/day) /space/year to provide (ex build and depreciation)

. Staff pay yearly salary based permit between c.£20-450/year (mean 73p/day)

. Students currently pay c.£3-5/day on campus

. Costs c.£1/day to use Park & Ride – ‘free’ parking if they ‘Park & Stride’ . Cost (subsidy = £200k/annum)
