It's excellent for reading although the font is a little small. The next best thing is how practical the notes are. Not just endless historical trivia, but practical tips for living out the text in real life. The tag line is "a warm heart The Wesley Study Bible active hands". I chose a green faux leather with a tan back and spine, to which the years have not been kind. The materials have The Wesley Study Bible aged well, and after 10 years, it is heavily scuffed and scratched, and can be marked and defaced with great ease. Maybe I should have sprung for the more expensive leather binding, but I liked the color. It also arrived new in the box with one page ripped — annoying, but not worth returning an entire Bible as scrap. So the short overviews of Wesleyan core terms really help with that. That's the good. It doesn't have chapter-verse on the outside edge of the paper, so it's hard to find a reference. The NRSV seems to lack cross-references at all and these are rarely mention in the study notes.
