FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SOUTHERN SOUL BARBEQUE PRESENTS MAKER’S MARK BBQ PRO-AM WITH PITMASTERS AND PRO-GOLFERS Join Southern Soul’s Harrison Sapp and Griffin Bufkin as Pitmasters Join PGA Tour Golfers for Dinner with Bourbon and Blues ATLANTA – On Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m., Southern Soul Barbeque and the Sea Island barbecue teams welcome ‘cue lovers to Sea Island to savor a thoroughly Southern night filled with barbecue, bourbon and the Blues during the Saint Simons Food & Spirits Festival benefitting Hospice of the Golden Isles. Guests will enjoy food hot off the smokers of the region’s top pitmasters, who will be joined by “amateur” pitmasters: Golfers of the PGA Tour. The Marker’s Mark Bourbon will be flowing, accompanied by an open bar of craft beer and wine. Savannah's legendary Eric Culberson Band will provide the soundtrack, and the evening’s festivities will be emceed by award- winning food and lifestyle blogger Libbie Summers of Salted and Styled. For the Maker’s Mark BBQ ProAm, hosts Harrison Sapp and Griffin Bufkin of Southern Soul Barbeque will be joined by the following pitmaster talent: Jimmy Hagood of Food for the Southern Soul and BlackJack Barbecue with his Big Red Rig from Charleston, S.C.; Tiffanie Faison, Top Chef and Top Chef All-Stars’ fan favorite of Sweet Cheeks Q in Boston, Mass.; along with Justin Fox and Jonathan Fox of Fox Bros. Bar-B-Que in Atlanta. As for the “amateurs,” PGA Tour Professionals such as Lucas Glover, Brian Bateman, Jonathan Byrd, Katie Burnett, Brian Harmon and more will be stationed at every rig in the salty island air, cooking up fun, and mixing and mingling with the guests.
