Hon’ble Member Sri. Thakur Singh

Thakur Rama Singh assumed the charge as Member, APERC on 26th February, 2020. He was born on 15th August, 1955 at ​ ​ Lankalakoderu Village of , . His father is Sri Man Singh and mother Smt. Heera Bai. Completed B.Tech., Electrical Degree from JNTU College of Engineering, during 1977.

Joined as Assistant Engineer, Electrical during 1978 in APSEB and worked in various wings and various cadres.

1. Assistant Engineer from 1978 to 1992: Construction, Operation, Technical wings and Generation (VTPS) in Prakasam and districts. 2. Assistant Divisional Engineer from 1992 to 2002: Operation, MRT HT Meters, Protection and Commercial wings in Krishna and districts in APSEB and APSPDCL. 3. Divisional Engineer from 2002 to 2006: Operation Wing in and in APSPDCL. 4. Superintending Engineer from 2006 to 2009: Operation Circle, Ongole in APSPDCL. 5. Chief Engineer, Zone from 2009 to 2013: Operation Zone, with 3 districts as jurisdiction – Chittoor, and in APSPDCL. 6. Appointed as Vigilance Officer in APSPDCL for 2 years. 7. Retired on 31.07.2013 as Chief Engineer, Zone, Tirupati. 8. Appointed as Director, Projects and worked from 2013 to 2015 in APSPDCL.

During his tenure in various cadres he has dealt with

Village Electrification Works Operation and maintenance of the systems Technical and Commercial wings. Construction works in VTPS Stage II and Stage III (Generation) MRT works – HT Meters and Protection system Implementation of schemes for various works like construction of Sub-Stations, Augmentation of Power Transformers, reduction of overloads duly erecting new 11 KV and 33 KV lines, bifurcation of feeders and HVDS System , due to which low voltage problems resolved and line losses reduced in all the eight districts of APSPDCL (Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, Kadapa, and districts) Proposed and commissioned plenty of Indoor Sub-Stations in the Urban areas of Towns and cities in all the eight districts of APSPDCL. Strengthening of EHT system duly proposing number of Sub-Stations and erection of new bays in all the eight districts. Concentration on Revenue collections duly arranging special drives, taking up reviews and inspections at field level. Cyclone rectification works in during 2014 in Hud-Hud Cyclone and district during 2018 in Titly Cyclone.
