Wxw Holds Keynote on Wxw NOW Streaming
wXw holds keynote on wXw NOW streaming service, announces details on Germany's first wrestling network wXw just announced the first in-depth details on our new "wXw NOW" streaming network, which will launch one month from now on 8/13 at www.wxwnow.de. It will not just be a collection of shows like a lot of companies offer for a monthly fee via Pivotshare but also offer original content and a lot of archived shows, some dating back as far as 2006. We will also have our uniquely designed interface/UI, while hosting and infrastructure will be managed by Vimeo, our long-time streaming partner, dating back to 2013. Wrestling journalist Markus Gronemann (DarkMat.eu, Wrestling Observer) considers this to be the biggest launch of an over-the-top pro wrestling channel by a single promotion since New Japan World. wXw Managing Director Christian Jakobi held a keynote presentation tonight at 8 pm CEST at the wXw Wrestling Academy training school, which was streamed live on Facebook (the video is available, albeit only in German, here) and talked about what future and past events and what kind of original content would be available. We had up to 750 viewers simultaneously on Facebook and also had some students and a trainer (Toby Blunt) in attendance to provide some crowd noise and cheering at key points during the announcement. Marquee Events are wXw's version of pay-per-view caliber shows, where feuds start and end and international talent often appears. There currently are 10 marquee events on the calendar, with some of them being multi-day shows: -

Commencement Program, 2019
263 rd COMMENCEMENT MAY 20, 2019 20, MAY R D COMMENCEME 263 NT CLA S S O F 2 019 M A Y 20, 20 1 9 CLASS OF 2019 KEEPING FRANKLIN’S PROMISE In the words of one elegiac tribute, “Great men have two lives: one which occurs while they work on this earth; a second which begins at the day of their death and continues as long as their ideas and conceptions remain powerful.” These words befit the great Benjamin Franklin, whose inventions, innovations, ideas, writings, and public works continue to shape our thinking and renew the Republic he helped to create and the institutions he founded, including the University of Pennsylvania. Nowhere does Franklin feel more contemporary, more revolutionary, and more alive than at the University of Pennsylvania. His startling vision of a secular, nonsectarian Academy that would foster an “Inclination join’d with an Ability to serve Mankind, one’s Country, Friends and Family” has never ceased to challenge Penn to redefine the scope and mission of the modern American university. When pursued vigorously and simultaneously, the two missions – developing the inclination to do good and the ability to do well – merge to help form a more perfect university that educates more capable citizens for our democracy. Penn has embodied and advanced Franklin’s revolutionary vision for 279 years. Throughout its history, Penn has extended the frontiers of higher learning and research to produce graduates and scholars whose work has enriched the nation and all of humanity. The modern liberal arts curriculum as we know it can trace its roots to Franklin’s innovation to have Penn students study international commerce and foreign languages. -

Cubed Circle Newsletter 192 – Jay Lethal's Big Win, PWG From Out of Nowhere & More! In this week's newsletter we return to discuss not only this week's WWE television programming, RAW and NXT, but also a Ring of Honor pay-per-view from a few weeks ago, a PWG show from the beginning of the year, and Mid-South TV from 1981! – Ryan Clingman, Cubed Circle Newsletter Editor Playing Catch-up – Part I: PWG 'From Out of Nowhere' and ROH 'Best in the World' As some readers may know, the first semester holidays began but a couple of weeks ago, meaning that I have approximately two more weeks to catch up on all of the pro-wres I missed both before and during exams. What I hope to do over the following two weeks is publish opinions in each week's newsletter covering, briefly and in general, what I watched that week in terms of newer material. Originally, this was a project meant to get underway last week, but the Tsuruta/Misawa piece that I had a lot of fun writing got in the way of that. This week we will be taking a look at Ring of Honor's 'Best in the World' internet-pay-per-view, as well as PWG's 'From Out of Nowhere'. Ring of Honor: Best in the World June 19th 2015, Terminal 5, New York, New York Ryan Clingman Terms such as "biggest match in the history of [insert company name]" are popular on two platforms, the first being the forever-home of hyperbole, the internet and its forums, and the other WWE's television, which continuously pushes the latest forgettable match as supposedly the "biggest" or "most important" in company history. -
