DAY 1 – ARRIVAL AT HANOI

Upon arrival, you will be transfered to your homestay for check in and rest. We will have dinner with a local family in Ha Noi to learn more about local cuisines and people’s daily lives. After dinner, we will take a walking tour of the French Quarter at night and try out some local delicacies like the famous Hanoi Egg Coffee. Explore the night Market of Hanoi. Then back to the homestay for rest.

We will take a motorbike tour to explore Hanoi through highways & byways. The bike tour will be featuring the parts unknown of the city with slices of life in the maze of backstreets, tiny alleyways, random markets and black markets to see how locals live, work and play. We will also stop at the must see places of this beautiful city such as the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum-the Mecca of the Vietnamese, The 1000 year-old Buddhist and Taosist temples of Tran Quoc, temple of Literature, the historical training track, the enchant- ing French Quarter, the Old Quarter, the romantic lakes of Hoan Kiem, West lake, Hanoi Opera House & famous Long Bien bridge.

We will visit the floating community along the Red river. En route, we are going to stop at different authentic restaurants, eateries and food stalls to savour the tastiest dishes of Hanoi including family heirloom dishes, local delicacies and specialties. We will get back to hotel at about noon . The rest of the day is free.

We will drive to Trang An Eco-Tourism area. Trang An Eco-Tourism complex is home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna . It is also a gathering of 31 valleys, 48 cross-water caves and we will visit few of them. Enjoy the fresh air and clear water as you sail through the grottoes. We then visit the the water caves. In the afternoon we will visit the temples ancient temples and the Hoa Lu Citadel. You can climb up the Ma Yen Mountain, for spectacular views of the surrounding area. We then make our way from Hoa Lu to Tam Coc. Afterwards, we will take a bicycle to ride around the area to see more of countryside and visit Thai Vy Temple. Then back to your hotel for rest.

We will depart to Ha Long and arrive at Ha Long wharf at noon. Take a boat trip to visit Ha Long Bay – a world heritage site. Great photo opportunities to capture Dog Island, Incense Burner Island, Fighting Cock Island and so on. Visit Sung Sot cave and a swim at Titov beach. Enjoy the sunset. After dinner, relax, drink or go fishing at your pleasure before spending a night on the cruise.

DAY 5 - HA LONG – HA NOI – DA NANG – HOI AN

Enjoy your morning breakfast with cake, tea or coffee. Cruise towards the islets of Man’s head and Tortoise. Cruise and head back to the Ha Long pier. Disembark your boat. Travel via bus to Ha Noi, Noi Bai airport & catch a short flight to Da Nang. Arrive at Da Nang & transfer to Hoi An (about 40 minutes). Overnight in Hoi An.

The guide will meet you at the hotel’s lobby and start the tour. We will ride our bicycle’s to Hoi An’s colourful central market. Here you will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later. We continue to cycle to Tra Que vegetable village where we will have a cooking class. Have a welcome drink for rest.

Then, we will walk through the vegetable gardens where we will interact with local farmers working in their fields, using their ancient traditional farming methods.

Indulge yourself with a relaxing herbal foot massage. After your foot massage, it’s time to cook lunch! We will go to the restaurant & work together with the chef. With the instructions of the chef, we will learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food. After the lesson, enjoy what you have cooked. Back to your hotel in Hoi An. In the afternoon, take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ houses, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, ancient pagodas and temples, and the colourful market for shopping. Back to hotel for rest.

DAY 8 – HOI AN – DA NANG – SAI GON

Depart for Da Nang airport to catch a flight to Sai Gon. Arrive in Sai Gon, pick up & transfer to hotel for check in. Free for rest.

A full day tour, travelling from Saigon to My Tho, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. It is known as the “rice bowl” of Vietnam. Upon arrival in My Tho, take a boat trip to get over the Tien River to An Khanh. Enjoy scenes of the floating fish farms and markets on four fabled islets. Enjoy seasonal fruits and drop in at a local coconut candy workshop to taste local specialties Walk on a monkey-bridge to see the local people making rice paper cakes and rice wine. In the afternoon, take the boat trip back to My Tho City and return to Saigon at around 5pm.

DAY 10- Departure

From the hotel you will get a pick up & transfer to Saigon airport for you departure flight. End of tour.
