Report: Diverting Funds For PAS Reps To PKR Instead TODAY Feb 5, 2018 By Admin-S

(MMO) – The Selangor government is allegedly funnelling development allocations meant for 15 PAS assemblymen in the state to PKR members, according to the New Straits Times (NST).

Citing an unnamed source, the newspaper said the alleged practice involved the state constituencies of Taman Templer, , , Chempaka, Meru, , Tanjung Sepat, Gombak Setia, Bangi, Seri Serdang, Selat , Sijangkang, and Hulu Kelang.

“These PKR coordinators have also started campaigning in these Pas seats for the 14th General Election,” the source was quoted as saying.

The source also told the newspaper that state assemblymen and members of parliament (MPs) were respectively given an additional RM300,000 and RM200,000 on top of their normal allocations.

In Selangor, assemblymen receive RM800,000 annually while MPS get RM300,000 for development, regardless of political affiliation.

“MPs and assemblymen from DAP, PKR and Parti Amanah Negara have all received their allocations starting Thursday.

‘They were informed about the allocation during a meeting (on Thursday), and the funds were released to Pakatan Harapan representatives on the same day,” the source was quoted as saying.

The paper said it could not obtain comment from Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and Selangor PKR deputy chief Zuraida Kamaruddin. This is the second controversy of the nature this year, after Selangor PAS commissioner Sallehen Mukhyi accused the state government last month of freezing allocations for PAS representatives.

Azmin denied the allegation then, and said the problem was due to a “technical problem”.

Sallehen said Selangor PAS would raise the matter with the , which the MB called a “childish act”.

He told the NST he was not aware of the new issue, but said Selangor PAS assemblyman still have not received their annual funding.
