The purposes and general effect of the new model local government controlled land, facilities, infrastructure and laws will be to provide for: roads and preserve features of the natural and built (a) a legal and procedural framework for the environment and other aspects of the amenity of local administration, implementation and enforcement of government controlled land, facilities, infrastructure and the local government’s local laws, subordinate local roads, by providing for: laws and other regulatory powers, and for • the regulation of access to local government miscellaneous administrative matters, including: controlled areas; and • consistent and comprehensive processes for the • the prohibition or restriction of particular activities local government to grant and regulate approvals in local government controlled areas or roads; and to undertake prescribed activities; and • miscellaneous matters affecting roads. 122 QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT GAZETTE No. 26 [7 February 2014

The repealing local law so adopted repeals the following existing local laws of the local government, which are redundant: (a) Local Law No. 2 (Administration) 1995 ; (b) Local Law No.3 (Keeping and Control of Animals) 1995 ; (c) Local Law No.4 (Gates and Grids) 1995 ; (d) Local Law No.5 (Libraries) 1995 ; (e) Local Law No.6 (Meetings) 1995 ; (f) Local Law No.8 (Control of Pests) 2006 ; (g) Local Law No.18 (Control of Nuisances) 1997 ; and (h) Caravan Parks and Camping Local Law 2000 .
