Read Ebook {PDF EPUB} Maximum Volume 8 Silent Ruin by Yasuhiro Nightow ISBN 13: 9781593074524. Okay, now this is just getting scary. Knives has imprisoned Vash, and now he's going around gathering plants. By plants, I don't mean green things growing out of the ground, but instead those angelic, humanoid, power plant beings that make it possible for humans to live on the planet Gunsmoke. Vash and Knives are themselves a form of plant, and have the same power, but what will knives do with this huge power supply? Meanwhile, things are looking pretty tough for Wolfwood. And speaking of Nick, this volume contains a special spin-off chapter based on our favorite preacher slash gunslinger. Learn a little more about the man in the suit with the confessional helmet! "synopsis" may belong to another edition of this title. Yasuhiro Nightow is a Japanese artist and game creator who created the anime and manga Trigun . Nightow was born on April 8, 1967, in , Japan. Trigun Maximum: Silent Ruin (Vol. 8) Far into the future humanity has had to travel through space and try to form new civilizations on inhospitable planets. On one particular planet filled with desert and despair is Vash, a gunslinger with a bounty on his head and a heady past. Kind and deadly, this dichotomous man travels righting wrongs while evading capture by the authorities. He has made friends and enemies but in this, volume 8 of a reportedly 10 volume manga run, Vash's past has finally caught up to him. Captured by his twisted brother Knives, he must undergo agony while helpless to stop Knives in his twisted aims to destroy every human on the planet. As the Ark invasion continues, body counts amass as Knives tries to commit genocide. Meanwhile down on the ground, some of the dwindling populace is attempting to save what few people are left and struggle to find a way to stop the Ark and Knives path of destruction. This volume is jam packed with story, perhaps too much. A lot of things happen and then suddenly the story jumps seven months into the future. This kind of choppy pacing is seen throughout the volume. The art work is interesting, particularly whenever someone draws a weapon. The scenes of such are always drawn with a grand sweeping touch. Unfortunately the action itself is very crowded and hard to follow exactly what is happening visually. On the plus side we get to learn more about Wolfwood and his past. In fact there is a bonus story featuring Wolfwood at the end of the manga. Trigun is an interesting blend of hardcore science fiction mixed with a spaghetti western sensibility. Although the weakness in the uneven story telling and crowded drawing style can make it a bit trying at times, patience is rewarded with a truly intriguing story idea and interesting characters.
