NUA: A new faith based film series is being launched for young people. It is called NUA – Jonny Sommerville is the creator of this series and he is coming to The Pastoral Centre on the 21st September from 7.30pm – 9pm to launch the film series. Refreshments will be Served. Our first ever Diocesan Youth Day will take place in the Pastoral Centre Cavan on September 30. Aimed at 12-18 Year Olds starting at 1.30pm. A Redemptorist Youth Group called ‘Scala’ will lead the young people in workshops until 5 o’clock. At 5 a band from Belfast called ‘I am Worship’ will lead the young people in Music Ministry. We will have a pizza party at 6pm and proceed to the Cathedral for 7.30pm. Fr. Patrick Cahill will speak at the Mass. There is no cost for the day. The Diocese of Kilmore will celebrate the countdown to the World Meeting of Families at a special ceremony in the Cathedral of SS. Patrick & Felim, Cavan, at 7:30pm. on Monday 25 September next. This will coincide with the beginning of the fourth annual diocesan Novena to Mary, Untier of Knots, the theme of which this year is 'We are Family.' All 34 parishes have been invited to send representatives to the ceremony at which Bishop Leo O'Reilly will preside. Everyone is welcome to attend this event. The guest speaker will be Fr. Timothy Bartlett, Secretary-General of the World Meeting of Families. The new icon of the Holy Family, commissioned for next year's event, will be present in the Cathedral in Cavan from Monday 25 to Friday 29 September when it leaves after the 10:00am Mass.

Annual Diocesan Novena to Mary, Untier of Knots begins on Monday 25 September next in the Cathedral of SS. Patrick and Felim, Cavan, and continues until Tuesday 3 October. This year's theme is "We are Family". Novena Mass and Devotions each evening at 7:30pm. Guest speakers this year include: Fr.
