RE: Laramie Police Department Locker Room Renovation

To the Selection Committee:

Thank you for the opportunity to submit our Architectural/Engineering qualifications for the Laramie Police Department Locker Room Renovation. Arete Design Group is the lead firm and has joined forces with IMEG Engineers (MEP) to provide comprehensive and creative design solutions for the renovation of the Police Departments Locker Rooms.

ADG is a nimble firm that is able to react quickly to the needs of our clients, and major maintenance renovation projects have comprised a majority of the firm’s work over the last fourteen years. Our firm has a proven approach to major maintenance and remodel projects that is efficient and cost effective. We have also been very successful in producing construction documents that give Contractors good opportunity to complete the construction on time and in budget with very few change orders. Our approach to remodel work is to understand the building structure, scope and budget, prioritize the work required to fit the budget, provide documents to cover the essential work required and encourage the successful contractor to implement the work properly. The firm works exclusively in and continues to grow and expand our client base. Arete will provide consistent “Boots on the Ground” to oversee this project from start to finish.

The personnel presented in this proposal are positioned to handle the challenges of this specif- ic project. We have adequate man-power and room in our schedule to begin work right away. Finally, I encourage you to contact our references as you look through our team’s representa- tive projects. I believe they will confirm that we are a hands-on, meticulous group whose real aim is to provide our clients with the best possible solutions to their building needs.

Again, we really appreciate the opportunity to propose on this project and hope to have the opportunity to work with the Laramie Police Department on this project.

Sincerely,

Dale Buckingham, AIA President

This project managed by Dale Buckingham is a 3-phased remodel of an entire elementary school that is being done while classes are in session. The $9M dollar project had tight design deadlines and difficult phasing objectives to meet. The project came in on budget and is under construction during the 2019- 2020 school year, proceeding with a high level of success.

Phase 1 • Estimate: $1,408,037 • Bid Amount: $1,392,920 • Final Construction Cost: $1,646,270* (reflects Phase 2 change order)

Phase 2 • Estimate: $712,130 • Bid Amount: $870,145 • Final Construction Cost: $0.00*

*Phase 2 provided a 10-modular classroom building. Because the bid was so high, multiple modulars were provided for $252,595 and included in Phase 1 as a change order.
