Rainbow, brown, brook, and native cutthroat trout are a few of the finned creatures found in pristine mountain lakes and rivers. The verdant valleys around Sheridan and the forests of the Bighorns are home to trophy mule and whitetail deer, pronghorn, elk, moose, and wild turkey. Sightings of black bear, mountain lion, bobcats and coyote are rare but possible.
