Ceropegia woodii Also known as: subsp. woodii Rating: 0.0 ( 0 votes)

This description is for Ceropegia (Ceropegia woodii):

With peculiar foliage and even more peculiar flowers, ceropegia woodii is guaranteed to attract a lot of interest. A tender evergreen trailing , its small grey-green leaves are heart- shaped, thus earning it the common name, the string of hearts. Its leaves are distinctively concave, with silver marbled markings on their upperside and coloured pinkish-red on their underside. In summer, it produces small, tubular, torch-like, faded purple blossoms, with five, hairy black-purple petals fused at their tips. Perfect for hanging baskets and window boxes, it is best to grow string of hearts indoors in cactus compost, watering moderately when growing and rarely at other times. No regular pruning is necessary.
